Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, install, or operate this light fixture.
This light fixture should be installed outdoors to a wall or eave.
The light fixture should be mounted approximately 8 ft. (2.4 m) above the ground.
Do not cut the solar panel wire. Discontinue use if the wire becomes frayed or broken.
Do not immerse components in liquid.
Do not use any other charging device other than the single solar charging panel provided with this light. Doing so may result in injury or damage to the light and voids any warranty.
Position the cord so that it is securely fastened and will not result in a hazard (such as tripping).
IMPORTANT: The rechargeable solar battery is pre-installed in the solar light. The rechargeable battery is not replaceable.
NOTE: To extend the life of the batteries, this light only works in the dark (night time).

This product is guaranteed to be free of factory defective parts and workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of purchase. Purchase receipt is required for all warranty claims.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This guarantee does not include repair service, adjustment and calibration due to misuse, abuse or negligence, or LEDs. Any damage to the light fixture resulting from the use of chemicals or a pressure washer machine are not covered by this warranty. Unauthorized service or modification of the product or of any furnished component will void this warranty in its entirety. This warranty does not include reimbursement for inconvenience, installation, setup time, loss of use, unauthorized service, or return shipping charges. Pre-Installation
PLANNING INSTALLATION
Before installing the light fixture, ensure that all parts are present. Compare parts with the Hardware Included and Package Contents sections. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install, or operate this light fixture.
Estimated installation time: 30 minutes
INITIAL BATTERY CHARGE
IMPORTANT: The solar panel requires full, direct sunlight to charge the battery. Clouds, rain, snow, and other weather conditions may not allow the solar panel to completely recharge the battery. Other obstructions such as buildings or trees may block the sun as well.
When installing the solar panel, make sure it is aimed as described below with a minimum amount of obstructions. If possible, mount the panel facing toward the southern sky.
PRIOR TO USE, the battery will require 3 to 7 days of full sun to completely charge with the control switch in the OFF position. Plug the solar panel cable into the connector extending from the bottom of the battery case. If possible, aim the solar panel toward the south and tilt it approximately 50° from horizontal. If the solar panel cannot be aimed toward the south, then tilt the panel approximately 30° if possible.
Actual operating time will vary depending upon how frequently the light is turned on by the motion sensor. Solar lighting is not designed to equal standard 120V lighting. The amount of light output is reduced to allow
the sun time to fully recharge the battery between lighting cycles.
Solar collection is only effective in direct sunlight. Every hour the light is on requires a minimum of 16 hours of sunlight charging. Solar panels collect less than 10% of the sun's energy.
MOUNTING LOCATION
The most important thing to remember for the operation of your solar powered motion sensing light is that it works from the power received from direct sunlight. The more direct sunlight the solar panel receives in a day, the longer the light will operate.
SOLAR LIGHT FIXTURE
The main unit contains the LEDs, motion sensor, and battery. When deciding where to mount this unit, keep in mind that the motion sensor that activates the light has a "field of vision" of 40 feet (12 meters) in front of the light and about 180° detection angle at a surrounding air temperature of 77° F (25 °C).
SOLAR PANEL
The solar panel converts the sun's energy into electricity, thus charging the battery stored in the solar light fixture. The solar panel requires direct sunlight falling onto the face of the solar panel for as long as possible over the course of the day.
When choosing the location for the solar panel, make sure it is aimed toward the south and is tilted to a suitable angle to allow as much direct sunlight to fall upon it as possible. Make sure there is a minimum amount of obstructions between the solar panel and the sun.
Also, make sure your solar panel location is not too far away from the solar light fixture for the wires to reach and connect.

NOTE: Make sure there is enough vertical space above the mounting plate to allow the light fixture to be mounted.
Place the mounting plate (D) against the mounting surface and ensure the mounting plate (D) is level. Mark the hole locations. If mounting to a wooden surface, drill two 3/32 in. holes into the mounting surface. Install the two mounting screws (BB) through the mounting plate (D) and into the mounting surface.

Slide the rear of the light fixture (B) down onto the mounting plate (D) until it snaps into place.
If mounting to wall board or brick, drill two 7/32 in. holes into the mounting surface. Insert the wall anchors (CC) and attach the mounting plate (D) using the two mounting screws (BB).

4 Mounting the solar panel
IMPORTANT: Caulk around the base and on top of the screw heads after installation.
Place the solar panel (E) against the mounting surface and mark the mounting holes. If mounting to a wooden surface, drill two 3/32 in. holes into the mounting surface. Install the two mounting screws (AA) through the base and into the mounting surface.
If mounting to wall board or brick, drill two 7/32 in. holes into the mounting surface. Insert the wall anchors (CC) and attach the base using the two mounting screws (AA).

5 Adjusting the solar panel
Rotate the solar panel (E) to the desired angle.

IMPORTANT: The solar panel must receive as much direct sunlight over the course of the day as possible. Keep in mind that shadows may block the sunlight from reaching the solar panel during the day.
6 Connecting the solar panel to the light fixture
Carefully route the solar panel cable (1) to the light fixture (B). Insert the end of the solar panel cable (1) into the light fixture cable (2).
Leave enough loose cable to form a drip loop (3).
IMPORTANT: Slide the switch located on the bottom of the motion sensor to the OFF position and allow the battery to charge with 3 to 7 days of full sunshine before testing.
NOTE: Wrap any excess solar panel cable around the arm located behind the solar panel. Leave enough loose cable to form a drip loop (3).

3 Determining the motion sensor detection zone
NOTE: When the motion sensor control switch is set to the "TEST" position, the light will operate during the day or night. The light will stay on for 5 seconds after all motion is stopped.
NOTE: The motion sensor will need to completely warm up (50 seconds) before beginning the setup process.
Slide the control switch to the "TEST" position. Slide the "SENS" switch to the "L" (low)
position. Perform a "walk test": walk in an arc across
the front of the motion sensor (C). Watch the light (B). The light (B) will come on
and the red LED will flash indicating motion has been detected. Stop, wait for the light (B) to turn off, and then begin walking again. Continue this process until the detection zone has been established.
If needed, gently grasp the motion sensor (C) and move it from side to side or up and down
to adjust the detection zone.

4 Adjusting the SENS switch
To increase the detection zone, slide the "SENS" switch toward the "H" (high) position.
To decrease the detection zone, slide the "SENS" switch toward the "L" (low) position.
NOTE: The motion sensor is more sensitive to motion moving across the front of the sensor. The motion sensor is less sensitive to motion moving directly toward the front of the sensor.
5 Adjusting the light timer
NOTE: The light timer controls the amount of time the light will stay on full bright after all motion has stopped. The timer is adjustable from 5 seconds to 1 minute.
Slide the control switch to the "AUTO" position. To increase the time, turn the dial toward the
"1 MIN" position. To decrease the time, turn the dial toward the
"5 S" position.
6 Using the OFF control
Slide the control switch to the "OFF" position to turn the light (B) off and to conserve the battery life.

Care and Cleaning
To prolong the original appearance, clean the light fixture with clear water and a soft, damp cloth only.
Periodically clean the solar panel with a soft cloth and warm water. Do not hose spray. Keep the panel clear of snow and leaves. Make sure trees and other objects do not block sunlight from the panel.
Do not use paints, solvents, or other chemicals on this light fixture. They could cause a premature deterioration of the finish. This is not a defect in the finish and will not be covered by the warranty.
Do not spray the light fixture with a hose or power washer.
If not to be used for several weeks, turn the unit OFF. Store it with the panel connected and where the panel can gather sunlight.

Troubleshooting
Problem The light will not come on.
The light comes on during the day. The light comes on for no apparent reason. The lights flash on and off.
Possible Cause The motion sensor control switch
is set to the OFF position. The rechargeable battery is dead.
The solar panel is positioned wrong.
Daylight turn-off (photocell) is in effect.
The motion sensor is aimed in the wrong direction.
The surrounding air temperature is greater than 122° F (50° C) or less than -4° F (-20° C).
The light fixture may be installed in a relatively dark location.
The motion sensor control switch is set to the TEST position.
The motion sensor may be sensing small animals or automobile traffic. The motion sensor may be sensing shadows.
Solution
Slide the control switch to the AUTO position.
Slide the control switch to the OFF position and allow the battery to charge with 3 to 7 days of full sunshine before testing.
Position and angle the solar panel so that it gets plenty of direct sunlight for most of the day, if not the entire day.
Recheck after dark.
Re-aim the motion sensor to cover the desired area.
The light will operate normally inside the specified temperature range.
Relocate the light fixture to an area that receives more light.
Slide the control switch to the OFF or AUTO position.
Decrease the "SENS" setting or reposition the motion sensor.
Relocate the light fixture to an area away from shadows.

CARGA INICIAL DE LA BATERÍA
IMPORTANTE: El panel solar requiere luz de sol directa y total para cargar la batería. Condiciones climatológicas como nubes, lluvia, nieve y otros pueden evitar que el panel solar recargue completamente la batería. Otros obstáculos tales como edificios o árboles también pueden bloquear el sol.

1 Determinación del sitio de montaje

5 Regulación del panel solar
Gire el panel solar (E) al ángulo deseado.

IMPORTANTE: El panel solar debe recibir en el transcurso del día tanta luz directa del sol como sea posible. Recuerde que las sombras pueden durante el día impedir que la luz solar llegue al panel solar.
6 Conexión del panel solar al aparato de luz
Guíe con cuidado el cable del panel solar (1) hacia la lámpara (B). Inserte el extremo del cable del panel solar (1) en el cable de la lámpara (2).
Deje suficiente cable flojo para formar un lazo de goteo (3).
IMPORTANTE: Deslice el interruptor ubicado en la parte inferior del detector de movimiento a la posición OFF y deje que la pila se cargue con 3 a 7 días de pleno sol antes de probarla.
NOTA: Envuelva cualquier cable que sobre del panel solar alrededor del brazo ubicado detrás del panel solar. Deje suficiente cable flojo para formar un lazo de goteo (3).

3 Determinación de la zona de detección del detector de movimiento
NOTA: Cuando el interruptor de control del detector de movimiento está en la posición "PRUEBA" ("TEST"), la luz funcionará durante el día o la noche. La luz permanecerá encendida 5 segundos después que todo movimiento se ha detenido.
NOTA: El detector de movimiento necesitará calentarse completamente (50 segundos) antes de empezar el proceso de puesta a punto.
Deslice el interruptor de control a la posición "TEST".
Deslice el interruptor "SENS" a la posición "L" (baja).
Haga una "prueba caminando": camine transversalmente a la parte frontal del detector de movimiento (C) siguiendo la trayectoria de un arco.
Observe la luz (B). La luz (B) se encenderá y el LED rojo destellará indicando que se ha detectado movimiento.
Deténgase, espere que la luz (B) se apague, y luego empiece a caminar de nuevo.

4 Ajuste del interruptor SENS
Para aumentar la zona de detección, deslice el interruptor "SENS" hacia la posición "H" (alta).

NOTA: El detector de movimiento es más sensible al movimiento transversal a la parte frontal del detector. El detector de movimiento es menos sensible al movimiento que se dirige directamente hacia la parte frontal del detector.
5 Regulación del temporizador de la luz
NOTA: El temporizador de la luz controla la cantidad de tiempo que la luz permanecerá encendida con toda su intensidad luego de que todo movimiento ha cesado. El temporizador es regulable de 5 segundos a 1 minuto.
Deslice el interruptor de control a la posición "AUTO".
Para aumentar el tiempo, gire el dial hacia la posición de "1 MIN" (segundos).
Para disminuir el tiempo, gire el dial hacia la posición de "5 S" (segundos).
6 Uso del control OFF
Deslice el interruptor de control a la posición "OFF" para apagar la luz (B) y conservar la vida útil de la batería.

Cuidado y limpieza
Para prolongar la apariencia original, limpie la lámpara solo con agua limpia y un paño suave y húmedo.
Limpie el panel solar periódicamente con un trapo suave y con agua tibia. No use una manguera. Mantenga el panel sin nieve y sin hojas. Asegúrese que los árboles y otros objetos no cubran la luz del sol dirigida al panel.
No use pinturas, solventes ni otros químicos en este aparato de luz. Podrían ser la causa de una prematura deterioración del acabado. Esto no es un defecto del acabado y no será cubierto por la garantía.
No rocíe la lámpara con una manguera o lavadora a presión.
Si no va a usar la por algunas semanas, APAGUE la unidad. Guárdela con el panel conectado y en un sitio donde el panel pueda guardar la luz solar.

El aparato de luz puede estar instalado en un sitio relativamente oscuro.

El detector de movimiento puede estar detectando pequeños animales o tráfico automotor. El detector de movimiento puede estar detectando sombras.
Solución Deslice el interruptor de control a la

Posicione el ángulo del panel solar para que reciba directamente mucha la luz solar la mayoría del día o todo el día.
Compruebe de nuevo después del anochecer.

La luz funcionará normalmente dentro del margen de temperatura especificado.
Reubique la lámpara a un área que reciba más luz.
