WARNING - SEIZURES
Some people (about 1 in 4,000) may have seizures or blackouts triggered by light flashes or patterns, and this may occur while they are watching TV or playing video games, even if they have never had a seizure before. Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an epileptic condition should consult a doctor before playing a video game. Parents should watch their children play video games. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you or your child has any of the following symptoms:
Convulsions Eye or muscle twitching Loss of awareness Altered vision Involuntary movements Disorientation

To reduce the likelihood of a seizure when playing video games: 1. Sit or stand as far from the screen as possible. 2. Play on the smallest available television screen. 3. Do not play if you are tired or need sleep. 4. Play in a well-lit place. 5. Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour.
WARNING - REPETITIVE MOTION INJURIES AND EYESTRAIN
Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin, or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain:
Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play. Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don't think you need it. If your hands, wrists, arms, or eyes become tired or sore while playing, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning, or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again. If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after play, stop playing and see a doctor.
CAUTION - MOTION SICKNESS
Playing video games can cause motion sickness in some players. If you or your child feels dizzy or nauseous when playing video games, stop playing and rest. Do not drive or engage in other demanding activity until you feel better.
WARNING - ELECTRIC SHOCK
To avoid electric shock when you use this system: Please disconnect the AC adapter during a lightning storm. There may be a risk of electric shock from lightning. To minimize the risk of damage to the system, only use Nintendo-licensed AC adapters with your system. Do not use the AC adapter if it has damaged, split, or broken cords or wires.

Make sure that the AC adapter cord is fully inserted into the wall outlet or extension cord. Always carefully disconnect all plugs by pulling on the plug and not on the cord. DANGER - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, CAREFULLY FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power outlet, if needed.
WARNING - BATTERY LEAKAGE
The Nintendo Switch system and certain accessories contain a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Leakage of ingredients contained within the battery, or the combustion products of the ingredients, can cause personal injury as well as damage to your Nintendo Switch system. If battery leakage occurs, avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, immediately wash thoroughly with soap and water. If liquid leaking from a battery comes into contact with your eyes, immediately flush thoroughly with water and see a doctor.
To avoid battery leakage: Do not expose battery to excessive physical shock, vibration, or liquids. Do not disassemble, attempt to repair, or deform the battery. Do not dispose of battery in a fire. Do not touch the terminals of the battery or cause a short between the terminals with a metal object.

System and Accessories Precautions and Maintenance
Do not disassemble or try to repair the Nintendo Switch console, components, or accessories. Doing so may damage them.
Do not turn off the power, remove the game card, or remove the microSD card while data is being read or saved.
Do not store the Nintendo Switch system or game cards in a humid place, on the floor, or in any location where they may contact moisture, dirt, dust, lint, or any other foreign material.
Do not drop, hit, or otherwise abuse the Nintendo Switch console, components, game card or accessories. Doing so may damage the LCD screen or other precision components of the Nintendo Switch console or accessories.
Make sure all connections to the Nintendo Switch system are made carefully and inserted into the correct locations only. Hold plugs straight when inserting them into sockets.
When disconnecting any plugs from the Nintendo Switch console or wall outlet, always carefully pull by the plug itself rather than by the cord.
Do not expose the Nintendo Switch console, game cards or any of the Nintendo Switch components or accessories to extreme heat or cold. The liquid crystal displays (LCD) may become slower or may not work when the temperature is low. The LCD will deteriorate at a high temperature. Take care not to expose the Nintendo Switch system to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
The LCD screens may be damaged by sharp objects or pressure. Take care to protect the displays from scratches or stains.
To minimize the risk of damage to the Nintendo Switch system, only connect Nintendo-licensed accessories to any external connectors.
Do not spill liquids on the console, game cards, or other components or accessories. If liquids get into the system, do not charge the system. Contact Nintendo customer service for further instructions. If you have questions or experience problems with your system or accessories, please visit our website at support.nintendo.com for troubleshooting information.

AC ADAPTER PRECAUTIONS
Please read and follow the precautions listed below when setting up and using the Nintendo Switch system. Failure to do so may result in damage to your Nintendo Switch system or accessories.
Plug the AC adapter into an easily accessible standard wall outlet near your Nintendo Switch system. Make sure there is adequate ventilation around the AC adapter and Nintendo Switch system, and that any air vents are unobstructed. Be sure to connect the AC adapter to the correct voltage (100-240V). Do not expose the AC adapter or Nintendo Switch system to extremes of heat. Do not expose the AC adapter or Nintendo Switch system to any type of liquid or high humidity. See the AC adapter for additional information.
GAME CARD PRECAUTIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Avoid touching the connectors with your fingers. Always check the game card edge connector for foreign material before inserting the game card into the Nintendo Switch system.
IMPORTANT BATTERY GUIDELINES
To minimize the risk of damage to the Nintendo Switch system, when recharging the battery, use only Nintendo-licensed AC adapters.
CLEANING THE SYSTEM
If the screen becomes dirty, please clean it using a soft clean cloth, such as a lens or eyeglass cleaning cloth. If the outside of the Nintendo Switch system comes into contact with liquids, wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth (use water only). If the cleaning procedures do not solve the problem, please try our website at support.nintendo.com for troubleshooting information.
NOTICE - WEARING THE JOY-CONTM STRAP

When playing with a controller detached from the Nintendo Switch console, use the strap. Lock and fasten the strap securely. Hold the controller firmly. Do not let go of it.
Allow adequate room around you during game play.

FCC and ISED Information
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits of a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules and the Canadian ICES-003 Class B specifications. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician or visit Nintendo Consumer Service at support.nintendo.com.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user's authority to operate this device.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This device and its antenna(s) must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter..
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. End user must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance.
This device contains licence-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

Cet équipement est conforme aux limites d'exposition aux rayonnements IC établies pour unenvironnement non contrôlé.
The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless devices are absolutely safe. Low power wireless devices emit low levels of radio frequency energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produce health effects (by heating tissue), exposure of low-level RF that does not produce heating effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF exposures have not found any biological effects. Some studies have suggested that some biological effects might occur, but such findings have not been confirmed by additional research.
