Stop using the Ceiling Fan when any abnormality or failure occurs and turn "OFF" the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). Tighten the Blade Screws firmly using a screwdriver. Can cause fire, explosion, short circuit and electrical shock. Can cause injury, damage and Ceiling Fan drops. Do not use power supply other than rated voltage mentioned. Do not sprinkle water to Ceiling Fan. Or, do not wet Ceiling Fan. Can cause injury if Blade drops. Overheating can cause electrical shock and fire. Dismantle the broken or damage Ceiling Fan. Do not insert metal item in the Remote Control battery area with the Battery. Can cause fire, explosion, short circuit and electrical shock. Do not hang up to Ceiling Fan. Can cause Ceiling Fan drops and injuries. Can cause fire, explosion, short circuit and electrical shock. CAUTION / Ceiling Fan must be mounted above 2.5m from the floor and 1 m from the wall to the Blade. 2.5 1 Avoid fixing inside dome ceiling. Avoid continuously exposure of direct wind from the Ceiling Fan. Do not install at places where there is high vibration and impact. More than 1 m / 1 Can cause injury if hit by the Blades. Can cause unstable air flow and effect the Ceiling Fan to wobble. Replace all the Blades if any of them broken or crack. More than 2.5 m 2.5 It may cause discomfort. Wipe away dirt with a clean soft cloth, ordinary soap and water to keep the Ceiling Fan clean. Do not use solvents (gasoline and petrol) or any other chemicals. Vibration can cause the Ceiling Fan to fall. After installation make sure the Ceiling Fan does not wobble extremely. Can cause plastic part deformation and metal corrosion. Do not use at the area near to hot spring and volcanic. If an electrical current leakage occurs, it can easily cause electrical shock and fire. When the light is ON, do not direct view the light for a long time. Can cause injury if Ceiling Fan drops. Can cause the lighting not lit. Can cause scratches to the product. Do not disassemble or remove the Pipe from the Motor. How to Install / A) Install to Ceiling / 1 Remove the supplied Bolt, Nut, Spring Washer, Cotter Pin and Pulley from the Hanger Plate Assembly. Bolt / Pulley / Cotter Pin / Nut / Spring Washer / Hanger Plate Assembly / 2 Place the Pulley onto the ceiling hook. Ceiling / Ceiling / Hook / Or / J Hook / J WARNING / Ensure ceiling hook can sustain more than 10 times the Ceiling Fan Weight. Can cause injury if Ceiling Fan drops. 10 3 After hanging the Motor Assembly to the Hook, re-fix and firmly tighten the previous Bolt, Spring Washer, Nut and slot the Cotter Pin WARNING / Cotter Pin must be fix into Bolt and bent.Can cause injury if ceiling fan drops. 5 Hook / Bolt / Pulley / Nut / Cotter Pin / Spring Washer / Check Point After Installation / Bolt / Pulley / Hook / Cotter Pin / Nut / Spring Washer / 1. The ceiling fan is securly fixed on to the Hook. Make sure the Bolt, Spring Washer and Nut are firmly tightened and the Cotter Pin is inserted and bent for safety reason. Check / 4 Remove the Safety Wire Screw from the Hanger Plate. Safety Wire Screw (with Washer) / Hanger Plate / 5 Loop the Safety Wire to the ceiling hook and screw to the Hanger Plate by using Safety Wire Screw (with Washer) which was removed in step A) no.4 page 6. 6 A) 4 WARNING / Safety Wire must be fixed correctly and connected at all times. Can cause injury if Ceiling Fan drops. Safety Wire Screw (with Washer) / Looping method In case "J" Hook is being used. "J Check Point After Installation / Ceiling hook / Safety Wire Screw / Safety Wire / 1. The Ceiling Fan is securely fixed onto the ceiling hook. / 2. The Safety Wire is looped to the ceiling hook and securely screwed to the hanger plate. / Check / 6 Connect the wires to the house's supply line according to diagram shown. Please use splice when the house supply wire or earth wire inserted in the terminal are stripped wire. Ceiling / If using the closed end connector, please cut the splice and strip the wire. Green/Yellow (Earth) / / Splice and connectors are not included. Blue (Neutral) / Brown (Live) / WARNING / Make sure all the Terminals are connected correctly by qualified personnel to avoid electrical hazards. When connect or change the power cord or lead wire, it must be replaced by the competent personnel in order to avoid hazard. Please use 2271EC53(RVV) or thickness of tube is 1 mm or above. (Other requirements such as diameter of lead wire, please use according to the regulation of the country). Can cause fire, electric shock, ceiling fan drop and injuries. 2271EC53(RVV) 1 ) ATTENTION / This product should be installed with a double poles single throw switch (Breaker Switch) with minimum 3 mm contact gap in the fixed installation circuit. Do not use regulator or dimmer switch. (It can damage the Ceiling Fan) 3 0 5 1 4 2 3 Regulator / Dimmer Switch / Should there be a regulator or dimmer switch, disconnect it and reconnect the wiring as below. Power Supply / Power Supply / Connect Directly / Connect Directly / Regulator / Dimmer Switch / It is recommended to user, to install an OFF/ON switch on the wall for the Ceiling Fan, replacing existing regulator or new regulator point. If your Remote Control is missing or misplaced, LED light will not function. However, the Ceiling Fan can be switched on at pre-set speed 3. OFF/ON LED 3 Check Point After Installation / 1. The wiring is connected properly to the power supply. C) Installing the canopy / 1 Separate the Canopy by loosen the 2 Screws provided. 2 Canopy / Check / Remove the Screws / Screw / Press / Pull / 2 Take the Canopy (2 pieces) and clip it until the "click" sound is heard. 2 " Click / Ceiling Approximately 5 mm / 5 Ceiling Approximately 5 mm / 5 ATTENTION / Canopy / Canopy / Make sure both Canopy Rib fix into the same level of Canopy Slot for both side. Canopy rib / 8 3 Fix the Screws into the Canopy and tighten it. Ceiling / Screw / ATTENTION / Do not assemble Canopy in this opposite direction. Can cause abnormal noise. Check Point After Installation / 1. The Canopy is securely screwed. Check / D) Installing The Blades / 1 (i) Step 1: (ii) Step 2: Assemble the Blade towards the Blade Support Plate slot as shown in figure Step 1. Pull the Blade according to direction in figure Step 2 to lock the Blade. ( ) (iii) Step 3: Tighten the Blades firmly with Screw provided. (Taken from Part Set) Each Blade uses 2 pieces of Screws. (i) 1 1 (ii) 2 2 ( ) (iii) 3 2 Step 2 / 2 Step 1 / 1 Step 3 / 3 Blade Support Slot / Blade Support Plate / Blade Support Plate / WARNING / Tighten the Blade Screws firmly using a screwdriver. Can cause injury if Blade drops. Screw / CAUTION / Blade must be fixed correctly. Can cause no air flow. Can cause injury if Blades drop. 9 WARNING / Blade Support Plate should be set in proper condition. Can cause Ceiling Fan wobble or drop. Check Point After Installation / 1. Ensure the screws (10 pcs) for securing the Blade are tightly screwed. 10 Check / 2 After 5 Blades have been fixed, fix the Decoration Cap. Make sure marking at Motor Assembly and Decoration Cap are aligned ( ) . Turn Clockwise until a click sound is heard. 5 ( ) OPEN Motor Assembly and Decoration Cap align at ( ). LOCK OPEN I Decoration Cap is Opened. Motor Assembly and Decoration Cap align at ( ). Decoration Cap is locked. LOCKED ( ) LOCK OPEN I ( ) LOCK I OPEN ATTENTION / If the Ceiling Fan is found to wobble during operation, fix the Blades at different combination of position. Repeat this step until the Ceiling Fan stop wobbling. If Ceiling Fan still wobbles after Step 3, please refer to service or sales agent. 3 Check Point After Installation / 1. Ensure Decoration Cap marking and Motor Assembly marking are aligned at position as shown. Check / E) Install Remote Control Holder to Wall / 1 Fix the Remote Control Holder to wall as shown in figure below. The Wall Plugs are not needed for wooden wall. Remove the cover B Battery / · Push "Open" mark downwards (follow the arrow). · "Open 2. Insert the Battery (2 pieces: AAA, R03, LR03) · Position should match. (2 : AAA, R03, LR03) · 3. Close the Cover A Push to open / · Insert the protruding part (3 positions) into the Remote Control (3 holes), and push the cover upwards. · 3 3 OPEN Cover / Cover (back view) / C 3 Holes / 3 Protruding part (3 positions) / 3 WARNING / Do not insert any metal items in the Battery area with the Battery. ATTENTION / · Please remove all Batteries before disposing the Remote Control. · The life spend of Battery is about one year for normal usage. · · 1 B) Remote Control Coverage / 3~4 m 3~4 Coverage Area 8 m / 8 The figure above shows the best coverage area. The ideal ceiling height is 3~4 m. The Remote Control must be pointed to the direction of the Ceiling Fan when in use. 3 ~ 4 There might be situations that will interfere with the signal from the Remote Control; such as the Remote Control being blocked by an obstacle or light sources at the product receiver area. As shown in the figure. It is recommended to switch off wall switch or breaker if Ceiling Fan is not in use for long period. This is for zero power consumption purpose. 0.5 C) How To Use Remote Control / OFF/ON Button / OFF/ON Press OFF/ON button to activate or stop the Ceiling Fan. `ON' - Short "Beeping" sound `OFF' - Long "Beeping" sound OFF / ON `ON' " `OFF' " OFF TIMER / Push this button to cancel "SLEEP MODE" or to cancel "OFF TIMER". "" SPEED button / Press to increase fan speed, press to decrease fan speed. "RESET LIGHT MODE / Press to activate "LED" light mode function at the brightest mode level. Press for the second time to reduce to medium brightness and the third time to lowest brightness level. Press for the fourth time to OFF. `ON' or Change Brightness - Short "Beeping" sound `OFF' - Long "Beeping" sound `ON'- " `OFF'- " LCD Display / 1 / f YURAGI Button / 1 / f YURAGI Press to activate 1 / f YURAGI mode, "1 / f " will be shown in LCD screen. 1 / f YURAGI LCD "1 / f OFF TIMER / To stop the Ceiling Fan according to the time and speed setting. Off timer does not stop the operation of LED light. Step 1 : Select a desired speed (speed 1~5). Step 2 : Press "SET" button to select desired time frame (1~8 hours) LED 1 (1 ~ 5) 2 "SET 1~8 SLEEP MODE / To stop the Ceiling Fan according to the time setting. Sleep mode does not stop the operation of LED light. Step 1 : Select a desired speed (speed 2~5). Step 2 : Press "SET" button to select desired time frame (2~8 hours) Step 3 : Press SLEEP MODE button, "ON" will be shown on LCD screen. Sleep mode is on. But feel uncomfortable if stimulations change too suddenly. Yuragi is a right proportion between the above 2 extremes. People feel comfort because of natural wind pattern. 1/f YURAGI has a form similar to natural wind YURAGI pattern. 1/f YURAGI 1 / f YURAGI (natural breeze) / 1 / f YURAGI Add smooth accent to air capacity and make comfortable wind more naturally. How to activate 1 / f YURAGI function? / 1 / f YURAGI To activate 1/f YURAGI function according to speed setting. Step 1 : Select a desired speed (1~5). Step 2 : Press "1 / f YURAGI" button on Remote Control to activate 1/f YURAGI function. 1/f YURAGI 11 ~ 5 2 "1 / f YURAGI" "1/f YURAGI" Note Press "1 / f YURAGI" button again to deactivate 1/f YURAGI function. Press fourth time / HIGH MEDIUM LOW OFF Press for the third time to set for the lowest brightness level. Press for the fourth time to OFF the LED light. 15 Maintenance / 1. Check the Ceiling Fan condition annually. If a problem occurs, stop using the Ceiling Fan. Then refer to KDK service, sales or maintenance shop. Check points: Loosened Screws, Safety Wire condition, Motor Shaft damage, etc. KDK 2. Keep the Ceiling Fan clean. Wipe away dirt with a clean soft cloth, ordinary soap and water. Wipe it again to dry it. Do not use solvents (gasoline or petrol). * Please do not bend the Blade while cleaning. * 3. Do not paint the Blades. If damage, order new set of Blades (5 pieces) from service shop or sales shop. 5 4. When referring to KDK service, sales or maintenance shop, show this instruction to them and maintain correctly. KDK 5. If the product is broken or damage, please remove the Ceiling Fan from ceiling and replace with a new Ceiling Fan. This is to avoid the Ceiling Fan drops. 6. Recommendation for the Ceiling Fan suspension system shall be examined at least once every two years.
