Connection Diagram
The transmitter features a terminal block with connections for:
- Loop Output: Terminals labeled '+' and '-' for the 4-20mA output signal.
- Adjustment Trimpots: Two potentiometers for 'Zero' and 'Span' adjustments.
- Sensor Input: Terminals for connecting a Pt-100 RTD sensor.
Sensor Wiring Diagram
Figure 1
For 3-Wire Configuration: Connect the single leaded end of the RTD bulb to terminal 1. Connect the double leaded ends to terminals 2 and 3 (these terminals are interchangeable).
For 2-Wire Configuration: Connect the RTD bulb across terminals 1 and 2 (these terminals are interchangeable).
Sensor Adjustment
Zero Adjustment: This adjustment is available within ± 1.2% of the configured range and is performed using a multi-turn trimpot.
Example: For a temperature range of 0 to 400°C, the zero adjustment range is ± 0.012 * (400°C - 0°C) = ± 4.8°C.
Span Adjustment: This adjustment is available within ± 12% of the configured range and is performed using a multi-turn trimpot.
Example: For a temperature range of 0 to 400°C, the span adjustment range is ± 0.12 * (400°C - 0°C) = ± 48°C.
Loop Wiring Diagram
The transmitter operates with a DC power supply ranging from 12 to 36 VDC.
The output signal is a standard 4 to 20mA current loop.
The loop is connected to a 'LOAD' device, which can include an Indicator, Controller, PLC, Recorder, or other compatible equipment.
