2. Installation Guide
1. PoE Connection with AP
You can connect to an Access Point (AP) using a cellular phone.
- Insert the PoE WLAN Bridge into AC Power. The PoE WLAN Bridge is in AP mode initially.
- Turn on the WLAN on your cellular phone and search for the AP List.
- Select the SSID "ADC_Bridge_xxx". The "xxx" represents the final three numbers of the MAC Address (e.g., "e2b" in the example picture). You can check the MAC address on the product label.
- Open an internet explorer and input any URL address. Accessing any URL will connect you to the PoE WLAN Bridge web page.
- Please select the language. The PoE WLAN Bridge supports three languages.
- Please click "Scan for WLAN Networks". If you are using a hidden SSID, input the SSID manually.
Screenshot Descriptions for Steps 1-6:
- Screenshots 1 & 2: Show a mobile phone's Wi-Fi settings screen displaying a list of available Wi-Fi networks, including "ADC_Bridge_e2b" and other networks like "네이버" (Naver) and "유진성형외과" (Yujin Plastic Surgery). The connection status is indicated.
- Screenshot 3: Displays a mobile keyboard interface, typically used for entering text such as an SSID or password.
- Screenshot 4: Shows a web browser displaying a page with a URL (e.g., www.naver.com) and various content, including advertisements and news headlines. This represents the page accessed after connecting to the bridge.
- Screenshot 5: Presents a language selection screen with options for "English", "Spanish", and "Portuguese".
- Screenshot 6: Shows the "WLAN Settings" screen, allowing the user to scan for Wi-Fi networks or input a hidden SSID.
Steps 7-11:
- You can see the AP List and signal strength (RSSI). Click the AP SSID that you used in your test.
- Click the connect message.
- You will see a "Please wait..." message.
- If you finish the process, your cellular phone will disconnect from the PoE WLAN Bridge.
- The PoE WLAN Bridge will reboot. After a few seconds, the WLAN LED will turn red. A red WLAN LED indicates that the PoE WLAN Bridge is connecting with the AP. If the WLAN LED is blinking blue, the AP connection is complete.
Screenshot Descriptions for Steps 7-11:
- Screenshot 7: Shows the AP list with signal strength (RSSI) values. The user is prompted to click the connected AP's SSID.
- Screenshot 8: Displays a "Connect" button, likely within the mobile phone's Wi-Fi interface.
- Screenshot 9: Shows a "Please wait..." message on the mobile screen, indicating a process is underway.
- Screenshot 10: Displays a message stating "Cannot display the webpage" with suggestions to check signal strength, try again later, or verify the web address. This might occur after the bridge has established its own connection or during a transition.
- Screenshot 11: Shows the PoE WLAN Bridge device again, with the WLAN LED highlighted, indicating its status.
2. PoE Connection with Power Device(Camera)
- After AP connection, you can connect the PoE WLAN Bridge and the Power Device (Camera) using an Ethernet Cable.
- Make sure that your camera is connected to the WLAN Bridge CAMERA port with an Ethernet cable (wired).
Diagram Description: The PoE WLAN Bridge is shown connected via a "LAN Cable (CAMERA)" to a surveillance camera. The cable is plugged into the port labeled "CAMERA" on the bridge.
