Installation Steps
Step 1: System Positioning and Dimensions
The diagram illustrates the general placement of the concealed cistern system within a wall. It shows a wall-hung toilet connected to the system. Key vertical positioning guidelines are provided: a cistern height of approximately 350mm from the floor and a toilet bowl connection point at approximately 230mm. The system offers adjustable dimensions for installation:
- Dimension I: Adjustable from 147mm to 245mm
- Dimension II: Adjustable from 16mm to 100mm
- Dimension III: Maximum 185mm
- Dimension IV: Adjustable from 400mm to 480mm
- Dimension V: Adjustable from 1100mm to 1300mm
Step 2: Toilet Spacing Adjustment
Determine the required distance 'A' from the wall to the toilet's mounting points. This measurement can be 180mm (as shown in Step 3-1) or 230mm (as shown in Step 3-2). Adjust the system's mounting brackets accordingly to match the toilet's specifications.
Step 3: Securing the Main Frame
In Step 4, the main support frame is attached to the wall using M12 (x4) bolts. Subsequently, the upper section of the frame is secured using M10 (x4) bolts and the mounting brackets labeled q and r.
Step 4: Frame Height and Leveling
Steps 6 through 8 guide the user through positioning and adjusting the frame. Utilize the foot adjustment mechanism n to set the correct height and ensure the frame is perfectly level. Step 11 specifies a maximum tightening torque of 20 Nm for certain connections, ensuring components are secure but not overtightened.
Step 5: Wall Anchoring
Step 13 indicates the need to drill into the wall using a Ø10mm drill bit, to a depth of at least 70mm. Step 14 demonstrates how to securely anchor the frame to the wall using the provided 8x22mm screws (part o).
Step 6: Pipe and Frame Connections
Steps 15, 16, and 17 detail the final connections of the various pipes (drainage, flush) and the securing of the frame to the wall. Step 17 specifically shows the frame being fixed to the wall using 8 screws, tightened with a wrench. Step 18 illustrates the initial connection of the toilet bowl to the cistern's water inlet and outlet pipes.
Step 7: Toilet Bowl to Cistern Connection
Step 19 shows the critical connection between the toilet bowl and the cistern using parts h (inlet) and s (outlet). It is crucial to apply silicone grease to the seals to ensure a watertight and durable connection. Proper alignment of the toilet bowl is essential.
Step 8: System Testing
Steps IV, V, and VI within Step 19 guide the user through testing the flushing mechanism. After connecting the water supply, perform a test flush to verify functionality. The diagram in Step VI highlights a "TEST" indicator on the flushing mechanism.
Step 9: Final Toilet Mounting
Step VII depicts the final connection of the toilet to the cistern. Step IX shows the toilet being carefully moved into its final position against the wall. Step 23 illustrates the toilet bowl being securely fastened to the wall using M12 (x2) bolts.
Step 10: Access Panel and Flush Plate Installation
Steps 24 and 25 cover the installation of the access panel and the flushing plate. The required clearance 'C' for the panel is noted as 31mm. Ensure the panel is correctly fitted and provides easy access to the cistern's internal components.
Step 11: Water Inlet and Flush Mechanism Assembly
Step 26 provides detailed instructions for the water inlet and outlet connections. Part II shows the assembly of the water inlet valve. Part III illustrates the connection of the overflow pipe. Steps IV through VII detail the final assembly and adjustments of the flushing mechanism, ensuring proper operation.
