Premier Roman Shade Installation Guide
1. Installing the Brackets
Begin by marking the locations for your brackets. The blind has pre-drilled holes through the headrail that can serve as a guide. The bracket installation method varies depending on whether you are using Top-Fix or Face-Fix.
Top-Fix
Use a minimum of two screws through the top of the bracket to fix it to a ceiling or lintel. Hold the blind in position and use a pencil to mark the bracket hole locations. Align the bracket with the marks and trace the screw holes.
Face-Fix
Use a minimum of two screws through the back of the bracket to fix it to a facing surface, such as a wall. Slot the brackets into the headrail, hold the blind in position, and draw a line across the bottom of the bracket. Remove the rail, realign the bracket with the line, and mark the screw holes.
2. Installing the Blind
Slot the rail onto the brackets and secure it using the provided wingnuts. Ensure the ends running along the underside of the headrail can move freely. To prevent tangling with the wingnut, align the hangers side-on with the headrail.
Clear plastic tab-handles are included to protect the fabric from finger marks. Attach a handle to the bottom bar of the blind, ideally near each end.
Connect Battery Pack
Hook the battery pack over the back lip of the headrail so it rests against the back. Clip the motor cable into the battery pack. Ensure the receiver cable hangs down from the headrail and does not touch any metal.
Install Brackets (Top-Fix)
Use this method to mount the blind to the surface directly above it (e.g., ceiling or recess lintel). Only one screw per bracket is required for top-fixing. Position brackets at a distance from the blind ends to avoid interfering with the battery pack.
Fit Blind
To attach the blind, hold the rail at a slight angle and locate the front lip of the rail onto the plastic lip of the bracket. Gently push the rail towards the back of the bracket while straightening the angle to lock it in place. To remove, push the rail towards the back of the bracket and twist it downwards to disengage the hooks.
Charge the battery when the motor alarm sounds or performance falters. Charge for 4 hours, or until the indicator changes to green after 1 hour. Remove the charger once fully charged.
Remote Control Operation
The remote control is pre-programmed. For multiple blinds with multichannel remotes, each blind is assigned a channel, indicated by a label on the back of the headrail. Pressing the 'Up' button raises the blind continuously until 'Stop' is pressed. The 'Stop' button halts the blind's motion. If an intermediate stop point is set, pressing 'Stop' when the blind is not moving will move it to that point. Pressing the 'Down' button lowers the blind continuously until 'Stop' is pressed.
The 'Left' and 'Right' buttons select channels. Channel '0' operates all blinds simultaneously.
Replace Battery
Step 1: Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, then push and slide off the battery cover.
Step 2: Install a CR2450 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Step 3: Slide the battery cover back on and fasten the screw to lock it.

Installing Your Shade
Step 1: Installing the Bracket
The shade can be installed using top mounting (Figure 1) or face mounting (Figure 2) with the provided brackets. Leave 2-4 inches from the headrail end for proper bracket placement. If more than two brackets are needed, space them evenly.
Step 2: Installing the Shade
Lift the headrail so the back hooks of the mounting brackets are under the back panel. Push the headrail forward until the front hook snaps onto the front edge. Verify that the brackets are securely attached. Warning: Do not lock the front edge of the headrail into the front hook first, as this will prevent installation.
Step 3: Installing the Child Safety Device - Tensioner
Inside Mounting: Push the release button while pulling the tensioner down until the chain is fully tensioned (plunger raised). Mark screw hole locations. Secure the tensioner.
Outside Mounting: Push the release button while pulling the tensioner (temporarily attached with the bracket) down until the chain is fully tensioned. Set the tensioner aside and mark screw hole locations through the bracket. Screw the tensioner bracket to the wall with large screws. Install the tensioner into the bracket with small screws. Warning: Ensure the tensioner is properly secured to reduce child access to the cord or bead chain loop, preventing strangulation hazards.
