WARNING: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Push the battery cover tab toward the battery cover and pull to remove. Install 3 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included) into the doorbell chime. Ensure batteries are installed according to the diagram inside the chime. Replace the battery cover. Rotate the battery cover and remove it. Insert the battery according to the figure, with the positive pole facing outward and the negative pole facing inward. Temporarily position the doorbell button and chime where they will be mounted. Press the doorbell button to verify they work. If the chime does not sound, move the chime closer to the button and test again. Do not permanently mount until working correctly. Note: The doorbell button and chime come factory-synced. Range can vary. Test before permanent mounting. Use either screws or double-sided tape. For screws: remove the back cover by pushing the tab with a small screwdriver, place the button on the door jamb, mark screw holes, attach with screws, and snap on the front. For tape: remove paper from both sides of the tape and apply to a clean surface. Use two screws to mount the chime. Determine location, drill two 7/32 in. (5.5 mm) pilot holes, insert wall anchors. Insert screws into anchors leaving about 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) exposed. Hang the chime on the screws using the keyhole on the back. The chime has an adjustable volume control on the side. Press and release the volume adjust button to change volume. Press and release the "Tune" and "Volume" buttons simultaneously. The light will flash 4 times with no sound, indicating mute. Press "Volume" or "Tune" to unmute. The chime has ten pre-loaded tunes. Press and release the "Tune" button until the desired tune is heard. Press the doorbell button while the tune is playing to lock it. Each button can have a unique tune. The chime has 8 selectable light colors. Press and release the "Light" button to select a color. When the doorbell button is pressed, the chime rings and the light flashes 4 times. Default code pattern is 100M. To convert to 12E, press the silicone button on the back for 3 seconds; the indicator light will flash quickly once. To convert back to 100M, press the silicone button for 3 seconds; the indicator light will flash for 3 seconds. Codes must match for proper operation. Default code pattern is 100M. To convert to 12E: after power-on, the chime prompts "Ding" (100M). Within one minute, press and hold "Volume" and "Tune" buttons for 10 seconds until "beep-beep", then release; chime will prompt "Ding-Dong" (12E). To convert to 100M: chime prompts "Ding-Dong" (12E). Within one minute, press and hold "Volume" and "Tune" for 10 seconds until "beep-beep", then release; chime will prompt "Ding" (100M). Codes must match for proper operation. Re-syncing may be needed after conversion. Doorbell Button: After pressing the button, the chime prompts "Ding-Dong" 3 times and the indicator light stays on for 10 seconds, indicating low battery in the button. Doorbell Chime: After pressing the button, the chime prompts "Ding-Dong" 5 times and the indicator light flashes quickly for 10 seconds, indicating low battery in the chime. Possible Causes: Batteries not installed correctly, dead batteries, button/chime not synced, mismatched codes. Solutions: Check battery installation, check battery charge, sync button/chime (press "Tune" on chime until "beep-beep", press button within 10 seconds), ensure codes match. Possible Causes: Mounted on metal or near metal studs, near concrete, too far apart. Solutions: Use wood shims to move away from metal, move away from concrete, move chime closer to button. Possible Causes: Interference from other wireless devices. Solutions: Convert to 100M code. If in 12E code: remove button battery, wait 30s, press and hold button for 10-15s within 60s of re-inserting battery. On chime, press and hold "Tune" until "beep-beep-beep-beep". Re-sync by pressing and holding "Tune" until "beep-beep", then press button within 10s. Possible Causes: Mismatched codes. Solutions: Ensure codes match (both 100M or both 12E).
