Installation Instructions

Overview

This guide provides detailed instructions for installing MadJax Aviator Seats on compatible golf carts. Please read all steps carefully and ensure you have the correct hardware before proceeding.

General Installation Procedure

Step 1: Remove Factory Seats

Carefully detach the original seats from your golf cart. It is crucial to keep all original (OEM) hardware, as it will be reused during the installation of the new Aviator seats.

Step 2: Attach Hinges

Connect the hinges, which were removed from the OEM seats, to the bottom of the new Aviator seats. Use the appropriate retained OEM hardware or specified bolts for your vehicle model.

Step 3: Install Hip Restraints

Secure the hip restraints to the seat bottom. Ensure correct orientation by identifying the front and back of the seat. Use the appropriate retained OEM hardware or specified bolts for your vehicle model.

Step 4: Prepare Seat Back

Locate the hardware pack intended for the seat back. This pack typically contains seat back brackets and specific bolts. Attach these brackets to the lower section of each side of the seat back.

Step 5: Install Seat Back

Mount the seat back assembly. This usually involves aligning the seat back with its corresponding brackets or mounting points on the cart and securing it. Use the appropriate retained OEM hardware or specified bolts for your vehicle model.

Installation Complete

Once all steps are completed, your MadJax Aviator Seats are successfully installed.

Vehicle-Specific Hardware and Notes

For Club Car (Precedent, Tempo, Onward)

Hinges: Use retained OEM hardware or 1/4-20x1" bolts.
Hip Restraints: Use retained OEM hardware or 1/4-20x1 ½" bolts.
Seat Back Brackets: Use hardware pack (2 brackets, 6 x 1/4-20-1" bolts) to attach to the seat back bottom.
Seat Back Attachment:
- For two-passenger carts: Attach seat back using retained hardware on the top of the seat back.
- For MadJax Genesis 250/300 seat kits: Invert adapter brackets and attach seats using retained OEM hardware or 1/4-20x1 ½" bolts.
Final Seat Back Installation: Slide lower seat buckets onto lower brackets, then secure seats at the top using retained OEM hardware or 1/4-20x1 ½" bolts.

For E-Z-GO TXT, MadJax XSeries, Navitas Chassis

Hip Restraints: Use retained OEM hardware or M10x1.5x25mm bolts.
Hinges: Attach using OEM screws and hinges to the three pre-drilled holes at the front of the new seat.
Seat Back: Secure using retained OEM hardware or M6x1.0x35mm bolts.

For E-Z-GO RXV

Hip Restraints: Use retained OEM hardware or M10x1.5x25mm bolts.
Hinges: Attach using OEM screws and hinges to the three pre-drilled holes at the front of the new seat.
Seat Back: Secure using retained OEM hardware or M10x1.5x60mm bolts.

For Yamaha Drive, Drive2

Seat Bottom Hardware Pack: Contains (4) spacers and (8) M6x1.0x40mm bolts.
Hinge Attachment: Use the two outermost holes on the front of the seat bottom. Secure each hinge with (2) M6x1.0x40mm bolts.
Hip Restraint Installation: Reuse factory bolts for outermost points. For inner mounting points, use (2) spacers and (2) M6x1.0x40mm bolts.
Seat Back Hardware Pack: Includes (2) seat back brackets, (4) spacers (3½"), (4) M6x1.0x75mm bolts, and (4) additional spacers.
Seat Back Hardware Installation: Install seat back bolts using washers and spacers as shown.
Seat Bracket Mounting: Attach seat brackets to the cart, ensuring correct orientation for driver and passenger sides.
Seat Assembly: Mount the fully assembled seat to the cart.

For ICON Vehicles

Hip Restraints: Use retained OEM hardware or M6x1.0x45mm bolts.
Hinge Attachment: Use the two innermost holes on the front of the seat bottom. Secure each hinge with OEM hardware or M6x1.0x45mm bolts.
Seat Back Installation: Align seat back holes with cart mounting holes using retained OEM hardware or M6x1.0x85mm bolts.
