2010-2014 Ford Mustang: Integrate Factory Backup Camera with Dynavin N7 Head Unit
Disclaimer: Since this guide was created by a customer using parts not sold by Dynavin, Dynavin is unable to provide install support regarding the integration of the factory camera to the Dynavin N7 Head Unit.
Method 1: Cars without factory NAV
Remove the trunk lid inner liner. This is typically held in place by 8 to 12 plastic pull-out pins. Once removed, you will see the factory backup camera connection.

For 2011 to 2014 Ford Mustangs without factory navigation, the factory rear-view mirror includes a display screen. To connect the factory camera to the Dynavin N7 unit, you will need to run a shielded RCA cable and a set of +/- 12v power wires to the head unit.
It is recommended to use a factory-style connector to avoid cutting the original backup camera harness. The recommended part numbers are WPT-1130 or WPT-1580.

The pinout on the new connector is as follows:
Pin Description Pin Description 1 POWER - 12v + 5 NOT USED 2 NOT USED 6 VIDEO + 3 POWER – Ground/12v - 7 VIDEO - 4 Factory Shield – NOT USED 8 NOT USED It is recommended to purchase an RCA female to screw terminal adapter for the video connection, which is available from retailers like Amazon.

Remove the existing Camera Harness from the factory connector and plug it into the new WPT1130 or WPT1580 connector.

Route the shielded RCA and power cables to the front of the car, positioning them behind the head unit.
Connect the power leads and the RCA cable to the backup camera harness provided with the Dynavin N7 unit.
Method 2: Cars with Factory NAV Screen / Head Unit
The factory wiring harness can be utilized and connected to the Dynavin N7 unit. This is done by making a connection at the harness plug that is removed from the factory NAV screen.

The two pins that provide the factory backup camera video signal are:
- PIN 3 (White/Green wire) = VIDEO +
- PIN 9 (Brown/Purple wire) = VIDEO -
You can tap into these wires directly or use individual pins to insert into the factory 12-pin connector. It is recommended to purchase an RCA Male to screw terminal adapter for the video connection, available from retailers like Amazon.

Once the RCA connection is established on the factory wiring harness, you can plug it into the backup camera harness provided with the Dynavin N7 unit. Only the RCA/Video connection needs to be made; the factory camera will continue to receive its 12v power directly from the factory wiring harness.
