MoveSpeedDrivePro USB Flash Drive User Manual
Note: The USB drive may generate a little heat during operation, which is a normal situation and does not require concern.
1. PC Software Download
If you find there is limited space on the flash drive, it indicates that a password has been set on the phone and the drive is currently in an encrypted state. To proceed, download the PC software and enter the password you set on your phone.
Interface Description: The PC software interface, identified as "360U盘助手" (360 USB Drive Assistant), displays the available space (e.g., 19.08MB available out of 37.61MB) and options such as "查杀" (Scan), "恢复" (Restore), and "设置" (Settings).
File Explorer View: Navigate to the flash drive (e.g., F SECURITY (D:)). You will see folders like 'mac' and 'windows', along with documents like "PC端指纹加密U盘使用方法" (PC Fingerprint Encryption USB Drive Usage Guide) and "安卓系统指纹加密U盘使用方法" (Android System Fingerprint Encryption USB Drive Usage Guide).
Software Installation: Within the 'windows' folder, locate and run the installer file (e.g., MoveSpeedDrivePro_Setup_V1.0.1). During installation, you will be prompted to select the installer language. Choose "English" from the dropdown menu and click "OK" to proceed.
2. Set Password and Fingerprints
This section guides you through setting up security features, including password protection and fingerprint unlock.
Accessing Encryption Settings: From the main software interface, click on "Encryption settings".
Security Mode: To enable password encryption, toggle the "Security Mode" switch to the ON position. When Security Mode is active, the encryption disk character will be hidden, and the password will be visible only after unlocking.
Password Management: To change your password, navigate to "Password management" and click "Edit". You will be presented with a "Change Password" screen where you can enter your old password, new password, re-enter the new password, and optionally add a password hint. Click "Save" to confirm the changes.
Fingerprint Unlock: To enable fingerprint unlocking, open "Fingerprint Unlock" and click "Edit". This allows you to add or delete fingerprints. You can add up to 10 fingerprints. The "Fingerprint management" screen lists existing fingerprints (e.g., 'Sally') and provides an option to "+ Add Fingerprint".
3. Data Backup
The software allows for convenient data backup. You can configure backup settings to suit your needs.
Backup Configuration: In the initial setup or via "Backup setting" on the homepage, you can configure backup preferences:
- Automatic Backup: Files are backed up automatically when the software starts.
- Directory Backup: Allows you to add specific directories (like Desktop, Downloads, Documents) or other disks for backup. When a directory is added for backup, it is a 1:1 full backup. The system notes that this process may be slow and that directories added here will not be backed up again by Type backup to prevent duplication.
- Type Backup: Scans the entire disk, with options to ignore specific folders (e.g., C:\Program Files, C:\Windows). You can select file types to back up, including various image formats (JPEG, HEIC, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, ICO, Camera Raw, PhotoShop, PICT), video formats (MOV, MP4, AVI, WMV, MKV), document formats (Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, WordPerfect, PDF, CSV, TXT, RTF, Compressed files, ISO, DMG), and audio formats (MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC).
Backup Options: Further customization includes copy options like "Combine all files into one directory", "Skip duplicates", "Keep the original path structure", and "Exclude less than 100 KB". Backup options include "Only backup new files" and "Full backup", with an option to "Skip hidden files (folders)".
Starting Backup: Once settings are configured, click "Start backup" to initiate the backup process. The backup files will be saved according to your chosen settings.
4. Restore Factory Setting
This function allows you to reset the USB drive to its original factory settings.
Important Note: Restoring to factory settings will erase and format the entire disk. This action is irreversible. If you have important files on the USB drive, formatting is not recommended.
Procedure: When prompted to enter a password to unlock the drive, click "Forget Password". Subsequently, click "restore to factory settings".
Confirmation: The "Forget Your Password" screen provides instructions: if you forget your password, use the registered fingerprint to unlock. If you wish to initialize your password, click confirm and restore to factory settings. A caution is displayed: "If SSD is restored to factory settings after forgetting password, all data will be erased and cannot be recovered."
Final Note: Ensure all necessary functions are available before installing the software.
