Miele PDR 508 ROP EL

Please read the operating instructions carefully and observe the safety instructions and warnings.

Touch Display with Sensor Buttons

To switch on the appliance, press the [power button] (①). The sensor buttons [sensor button], [sensor button], Start/Stop, as well as the sensor buttons within the display, respond to touch with fingertips.

Language Selection

Touch the [sensor button]. Press [up/down arrow] sensor buttons until the desired language appears. Select 'English' if available.

Selecting Drying Level (Example for Special Programs)

Touch the [sensor button]. Select the drying level using the [minus button] or [plus button] and confirm with the [OK button].

Sorting and Loading Laundry

Sort laundry and load it into the drum. Ensure laundry is loaded correctly.

Program Selection and Start

Select the program (A). Make any additional program settings (B). Observe the payment process (C) [payment process] (if applicable). Touch the [start/stop button] (D).

The end of the program is indicated on the display. Open the [open door] and [remove laundry].

Pflegeleicht4 kg: Workwear, smocks, pullovers, dresses, trousers, tablecloths, socks. For mixed loads (Easy-care and Cottons): select the 'Automatic plus' program.
Bügeltrocken
Wolle2 kg: Pullovers, cardigans, socks made of wool.
Zeitprogramm warm8 kg: Jackets, pillows, sleeping bags, multi-layer textiles, heavy cotton tablecloths, small individual items. To select time: touch [time button], select time with [up/down arrow] buttons, confirm with [OK button].
Koch-/Buntwäsche8 kg: Jackets, workwear, smocks, baby clothes, t-shirts, underwear, blankets, terry/linen cloths, terry towels, terry bath towels, terry bathrobes, flannel/terry bed linen, heat-resistant tablecloths. Available drying levels: Schranktrocken plus, Schranktrocken, Bügeltrocken, Mangeltrocken. For iron-dry: roll up laundry until damp for ironing. For full terry loads: select the 'Terry' program.
Großtextilien4 kg: Delicate, large textiles for the 'Cottons' program. Overcovers, multi-layer blankets, large bulky textiles. Available drying levels: Schranktrocken plus, Schranktrocken, Bügeltrocken, Mangeltrocken.

* Weight of dry laundry.

Extra [gentle care] = Reduced temperature during drying.

Extra [crease-free] (if activated) = Reduces creasing if textiles are not removed immediately after the program finishes.

Special Programs

Includes: Terry towelling, Shirts, Delicates, Smoothing, Jeans, Silk, Automatic plus, Microfibre, Timed program cold, Basket program. If activated: (Sport) Sportswear, Outdoor, Proofing, (Home textiles) Bedding down, Bedding synthetic, (Hygiene) Cotton Hygiene, Easy-care Hygiene, Timed program warm Hygiene.

Note: [do not dry], [normal/high temperature], select [select gentle care].

Maintenance: Cleaning the Air Ducts and Sieves

Tip: Have a vacuum cleaner ready.

Cleaning: After drying – and when the display prompts 'Clean air ducts' or 'Clean sieves'.

The dryer remains switched on. Open the [open lint filter flap]. The test message disappears after 10 seconds.

Removing and Cleaning the Lint Filter

[Pull out lint filter]. Regularly [check lint filter for wear]. [Additionally check and clean if necessary].

[Pull lint filter apart]. [Brush or vacuum lint from both parts].

Cleaning the Cover and Fan Wheel Area

[Pull out cover]. [Remove lint from cover with damp cloth]. [Vacuum lint with crevice nozzle]. Carefully [remove residue from fan wheel and lint from area in front of fan wheel with damp cloth].

Reassembly of Cover and Lint Filter

[Slide cover back in]. [Reassemble lint filter]. [Slide lint filter back in]. [Close lint filter flap].
