Preparation
Side Support Panels for Face Frame Cabinets Required
Align the top of the support panel with the top of the cabinet. For strength and durability, use hardwood for the support panel. Each support panel should be 6" tall and extend the full depth of the cabinet. The panel's thickness should match the face frame overlay, and it should be securely attached with screws for a sturdy installation.
Note: Support panels and screws are not included.
Ensure the support panel is flush with the cabinet face frame.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Determine Shelf Size (if shelf is included)
The shelf should be a minimum of 3/4" (19mm) thick and 20" (508mm) in length. The width of the shelf is determined by measuring the cabinet opening "X" minus 3-1/4" (83mm).

Step 2: Mount Mixer Lift Brackets
Measure and pre-drill the first two screw locations. Mount the Mixer Lift Bracket (A) using two #10 x 5/8" Pan Head Screws (B). Repeat for the other bracket. The distance from the top of the cabinet is determined by the height and length of the accessory. Brackets can be positioned higher for smaller appliances.

Step 3: Install Shelf to Brackets
Mark and pre-drill holes into the shelf. Install the shelf to the Mixer Lift Brackets (A) using six #10 x 1/2" Pan Head Screws (C). Ensure the shelf does not extend past the outer surface of the mounting plate before tightening. After the first six screws are secure, install the remaining six #10 x 1/2" Pan Head Screws (C), three on each side.

Step 4: Adjusting for Level
With the shelf fully extended, place your appliance on the shelf and check for level. To adjust, remove the appliance, loosen the front screws of the Mixer Lift Brackets (A), and adjust up or down. Re-tighten the screws. Once level, install the remaining twelve #10 x 5/8" Pan Head Screws (B) into the additional mounting holes on both brackets. Not all holes will have screws; there are 8 total screws per bracket.

Step 5: Adjust Spring Tension
This mixer lift is equipped with three adjustable spring tension settings for 0-20 lbs, 20-30 lbs, and 30-60 lbs. The unit ships with the spring settings set to the middle setting.
To adjust spring tension, apply slight tension to the spring mechanism using a wrench. Remove the bolt with a 10mm wrench, adjust the spring mechanism to the desired location, and reinstall the bolt, tightening securely. Repeat on the other bracket. Note: DO NOT release holding tension until after the set bolt is in the desired location!
WARNING: Releasing the 12mm or 1/2" box-end wrench used to hold the spring-loaded mixer lift brackets before securely fastening the removed bolt may result in serious injury.
Recommended Spring Position for Varying Mixer Weight:
- 0-20 lbs (0 kg-9.07 kg)
- 20-30 lbs (9.07 kg-13.6 kg)
- 30-60 lbs (13.6 kg-27.2 kg)
Anything over 60 lbs will void the warranty.
