ELECOM DE-NEST-GLP01 LED Lantern

Model: DE-NEST-GLP01

Brand: NESTOUT (an ELECOM Brand)

Components

This LED lantern is designed for use with the NESTOUT outdoor battery, which is sold separately.

Main Unit:

  • 1. Light: The primary illumination source.
  • 2. Rotary switch: Controls power and brightness.
  • 3. Lock: Secures or releases components.
  • 4. Strap loop: For attaching a strap or for mounting.

Connector: Connects the lantern to the battery.

Mini tripod: A collapsible stand for positioning the lantern, adjustable to two heights.

How to Use

Connecting the Lantern

  1. Open the battery's cap and attach the connector. Screw it on until there is no gap; this may require some force, which is normal.
  2. Ensure the rotary switch on the main unit is OFF. Connecting while the switch is ON might prevent the LED from lighting up due to the battery's protection function.
  3. Verify the correct alignment between the lantern and the battery's USB-A port before connecting.
  4. Turn the rotary switch to the ON position to activate the light.
  5. To detach, first turn the switch OFF. Press the lock to release, then pull the lantern away from the battery. Finally, remove the connector. Ensure the connector is pushed in until it locks with no gap.

Brightness Adjustment

Turn the rotary switch ON and continue rotating it to increase the brightness to your desired level.

Attaching the Mini Tripod

Unfold the mini tripod. Secure the battery by screwing it onto the strap loop in the center of the tripod.

Folding the Rotary Switch

The tab on the rotary switch can be folded inwards. Fold it when the power is OFF, as shown in the illustration.

Usage Time and Gear Mode

Possible Usage Time (Reference): For a 5000 mAh battery capacity, usage time ranges from approximately 4.5 to 26 hours or more. Actual usage time may vary based on the portable power charger's characteristics and ambient temperature.

Gear Mode: In normal mode, the light may automatically turn off after approximately 2 hours at low intensity. Gear mode allows for continuous use of approximately 12 hours. To activate or deactivate Gear mode, double-click the power button on the battery side. The Power LED will blink when Gear mode is ON. Gear mode deactivates upon performing the same action again or turning the power OFF.

Notes: The switch is analog and unstepped, meaning there can be slight variations in brightness levels. The battery charge indicator may not display accurately during continuous minimum brightness use, but this does not affect usable time.
