Preparation and Cleaning
Before First Use
Ensure your hands and all surfaces are clean before handling the product. Disassemble all components and clean them by boiling in water for 5 minutes to ensure hygiene. Wash all parts thoroughly before the first use. Make sure the straw hole is clean and free of any debris.
Before Each Use
Before every use, gently pull the straw in all directions to confirm it does not tear. Inspect the straw carefully, especially as the child develops teeth. If the straw shows any signs of wear or damage, such as cracking or a change in shape, replace it immediately. Small pieces can be accidentally inhaled and cause serious injury. Ensure the straw is clean and free from obstructions.
Cleaning Instructions
All parts of the Dr. Brown's Straw Cup are dishwasher safe and can be placed on the top rack. To prevent damage to sealing surfaces, avoid using overly aggressive cleaning methods. Do not sterilize or boil the insulated straw cup vessel after the initial boiling process. The cap, handles, and straw components are safe for use in electric sterilizers, microwave sterilizers, or boiling water.
