Product Overview
The ZYXEL XGS1210-12 is a 12-port web-managed multi-gigabit switch featuring 2 ports capable of 2.5 Gbps and 2 ports with 10 Gbps SFP+ connectivity. It is designed for efficient network management and high-speed data transmission.

Initial Setup
Connecting to Power and Network
1. Connect the switch to an appropriate power source (DC 12V). ?
2. Connect the switch to a modem or router that has internet access. ?
Managing Your Device
Option A: Configure with a Dynamically Assigned IP (DHCP)
This method uses the Zyxel ONE Network (ZON) utility to discover the switch on a network with a DHCP server.
- Connect the switch and your computer to the same network that has a DHCP server.
- Download and run the Zyxel ONE Network Utility (ZON).
- Use the ZON utility to discover the switch. Select the switch and click the Web GUI icon to access its web configurator.
The switch will receive an IP address from the DHCP server. The default IP address for the switch is 192.168.1.3
.
Option B: Configure the Switch with a Static IP
This method involves connecting your computer directly to the switch and accessing its web interface.
- Connect your computer to the switch using an Ethernet cable. Ensure your computer has an IP address in the same subnet as the switch (e.g., 192.168.1.4 to 192.168.1.254 if the switch's default IP is 192.168.1.3). ? ↔️ ?
- Launch your web browser and navigate to the switch's default IP address:
http://192.168.1.3

Troubleshooting
Cannot See or Access Login Screen
Verify the IP address (default 192.168.1.3), computer's subnet, and password (default 1234). Reset to factory defaults if password is lost.
Loop Detected
A network loop can occur from incorrect cabling. Loop Prevention is enabled by default and blocks affected ports. Disconnect and recheck network connections to resolve. Port status can be checked in the Web Configurator (System).
