GD-110/200 Series
User Manual and International Warranty Information The international warranty card is included with your CASIO G-SHOCK watch. This document is not the international warranty itself. The international warranty for CASIO G-SHOCK watches purchased in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine is valid ONLY outside these countries. Service for CASIO G-SHOCK watches within Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine is provided based on the manufacturer's regional warranty card. For information on other countries, see the G-SHOCK INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY. CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. (CASIO) warrants that, under the "CASIO G-SHOCK International Warranty Card", your "Casio G-SHOCK" watch will be repaired free of charge by a member of the CASIO international warranty network (see contact information) under the following conditions: The battery installed in the watch at the factory may be discharged during shipping and storage. If you notice insufficient power (dim display), replace the battery at your nearest authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO distributor. For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of a leather strap with water. Watches are classified by resistance level (from I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Check your watch's classification using the table below to determine its proper use. Notes: To switch between modes, press button C. To turn on the display illumination in any mode (except when setting a mode), press button B. The Current Time Mode is used to set and view the current time and date. 3. When the parameter you want to adjust starts flashing, use buttons D or B to make the necessary adjustments as shown in the table. 5. Press button A to exit the setting mode. The day of the week is displayed automatically according to the set date (year, month, and day). In Current Time Mode, press button D to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats. With the 12-hour format, the P (PM) indicator appears to the left of the hour value for times from noon to 11:59 PM, and the A (AM) indicator appears for times from midnight to 11:59 AM. With the 24-hour format, time is displayed from 0:00 to 23:59, and the P (PM) or A (AM) indicator does not appear on the screen. The 12-hour or 24-hour time format setting is made in Current Time Mode and applies to all other modes. The DST indicator will appear on screen in Current Time Mode and Alarm Mode when Daylight Saving Time is enabled. In Stopwatch Mode, you can measure elapsed time, split times, lap times, and record two different finish times. The watch can store results for split times and lap times. The measurement range for lap times is 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59.99 seconds. All operations in this section are performed in Stopwatch Mode, accessed by pressing button C. Lap time: The time taken to complete a specific section of a course, such as one lap of a stadium. Split time: The time elapsed from the start of measurement until a specific point on the course is reached. The stopwatch will reset to zero if it reaches its maximum measurement time, continuing to count until you stop it. Measurements will continue even if you exit Stopwatch Mode. For more information on storing measurement results in memory, see the "Watch Memory Management" section. The information displayed on the upper and lower parts of the watch screen depends on the measurement you are performing. Upper screen: Lap time Lower screen: Elapsed time from the start of measurement Upper screen: Lap time Lower screen: Elapsed time from the start of measurement (split time will be displayed for 8 seconds before returning to elapsed time measurement) The lap number will automatically increment by 1 each time button A is pressed. A maximum of 99 laps can be displayed. If measurement continues, numbering will restart from 00. The split number will automatically increment by 1 each time button A is pressed. A maximum of 99 splits can be displayed. If measurement continues, numbering will restart from 00. Each time you press button D to start elapsed time measurement in Stopwatch Mode, a new memory cell is created. A memory cell contains the type of elapsed time measurement (lap time or split time) and the split time results that you record during measurement. The watch can store up to 60 memory cells. Adding a new memory cell when the watch is full will cause the oldest memory cell's data to be deleted and a new entry to be created in its place. Adding a new measurement result to a full memory cell will cause the oldest measurement result in that cell to be deleted and the new result to be saved in its place. The table below shows how data obtained in Stopwatch Mode is organized in the watch's memory. For more information on viewing memory cell contents, see the "Stopwatch Memory Mode" section. In Stopwatch Memory Mode, you can view and delete the contents of memory cells and entries that contain measurement results obtained in Stopwatch Mode. In Stopwatch Memory Mode, you can view lap time or split time results. When you enter Stopwatch Memory Mode, the contents of the memory cell that stored the most recent measurement results will be displayed. If there are no stored results in memory, the ---- indicator will appear on screen. You can view the contents of Stopwatch Memory while stopwatch measurements are in progress, but current measurement results are not available for viewing. Measurement results (lap time or split time) are displayed according to the selection of the Lap Time Measurement screen or the Split Time Measurement screen. You can set a countdown timer from 1 minute to 24 hours. When the countdown time reaches zero, an alarm will sound. You can set the auto-repeat function. When the countdown timer's auto-repeat function is enabled, as soon as the timer reaches zero, it will start counting down again from the set value. All operations in this section are performed in Countdown Timer Mode, accessed by pressing button C. Press button D in Countdown Timer Mode to start the countdown. When the countdown time reaches zero (0:00) and the auto-repeat function is off, an alarm will sound for 10 seconds or until you stop it by pressing any button. After the alarm stops, the countdown timer will reset to its initial value. If the auto-repeat function is enabled, as soon as the timer reaches zero, it will start counting down again from the set value. An alarm will sound each time the countdown timer reaches zero. The timer operation will not stop even if you exit Countdown Timer Mode. Press button D during a countdown to pause it. Pressing button D again will resume the countdown. To cancel the countdown, first pause it (press button D), then press button A. This action will reset the countdown timer to its initial value. 3. When the parameter you want to adjust starts flashing, do one of the following: To set the countdown timer to 24 hours, leave the value at 0:00. 4. Press button A to exit the setting mode. The indicator on the watch screen in Countdown Timer Mode shows if the auto-repeat function is enabled. Note: Frequent use of the auto-repeat function and alarm sound shortens battery life. You can set up to 3 independent multi-function alarms, setting the time (hour and minutes) and date (day, month) for each. In Alarm Mode, you can set two alarms without repeat and one with or without repeat. You can also set the Hourly Chime (SIG). When the Hourly Chime is enabled, a double beep will sound at the start of each hour. There are 4 settable screens in Alarm Mode: 3 screens for setting alarms (indicator 1, 2, or 3 appears on screen) and one screen for setting the Hourly Chime (indicator :00 appears on screen). To perform operations in this section, press button C to enter Alarm Mode. The type of signal is determined by the following settings. Set hour and minutes. The alarm will sound daily at your set time. Set month, day, hour, and minutes. The alarm will sound on the specified date and time. Set month, hour, and minutes. The alarm will sound daily during the set month at your set time. Set day, hour, and minutes. The alarm will sound monthly on the specified date and time. 4. When the parameter you want to adjust starts flashing, do one of the following: 5. Press button A to exit the setting mode. The alarm sounds at the set time and date, regardless of the watch's current mode. The alarm will sound for 10 seconds. If you have set a repeating alarm, it will sound 7 times at 5-minute intervals, or until you manually turn it off or set it to non-repeating. Alarms and the Hourly Chime sound according to the time set in Current Time Mode. The indicator for the enabled Hourly Chime is displayed on the watch screen in all modes while this function is ON. The Hourly Chime indicator will flash when it sounds. The alarm indicator is displayed on the watch screen in all modes when an alarm is enabled. The repeating alarm indicator flashes while the alarm is sounding and during the 5-minute interval between alarms. If the watch is in the repeating alarm setting mode while the repeating alarm is sounding, the repeating alarm will automatically turn OFF (only the non-repeating alarm will be active). In Dual Time Mode, you can simultaneously view the current time of your home region (selected as the current location's time zone) and the time of another time zone on the watch screen. In Dual Time Mode, you can also set the simultaneous display of standard and daylight saving time on the watch screen. The seconds in Dual Time Mode are synchronized with the seconds in Current Time Mode. 4. To set the selected parameter, use buttons B and D: 5. Press button A to exit the setting mode. The DST indicator on the Dual Time Mode screen indicates that Daylight Saving Time is enabled. Your watch uses an LED panel for illumination, making it easier to read the time in the dark. The watch also features an auto-illumination function that activates when you tilt your hand towards you. For this function to work, it must be enabled (indicated by an indicator). For more information, see the "Additional Information on Illumination" section. In any mode, press button B to illuminate the screen. This action will illuminate the watch screen regardless of whether auto-illumination is enabled. You can set the illumination duration to 1.5 or 3 seconds. When the auto-illumination function is enabled, the watch screen automatically illuminates in any mode whenever your hand is positioned as shown in the figure. Do not read your watch in the dark while climbing a mountain or in other hazardous locations. This is very dangerous and can lead to injury. Do not read your watch while walking on the side of a road or where vehicles are present. This can lead to an accident. Tilt your hand parallel to the ground. When you tilt the watch towards you at an angle of approximately 40 degrees, the watch illumination will automatically turn on. Do not read your watch while riding a bicycle, motorcycle, or driving a car. Before operating any vehicle, check that the auto-illumination function on your watch is turned OFF. Sudden activation of auto-illumination can distract you and lead to an accident. This section provides more detailed technical information about the watch, as well as precautions and information on various features and functions. If you do not perform any operations for two to three minutes during any setting procedure, the settings you have made will be saved, and the watch will automatically exit the setting mode. The watch will automatically return to Current Time Mode if no operations are performed for two to three minutes in Alarm Mode or Stopwatch Memory Mode. A beep sounds when you press a button. You can turn this sound ON or OFF. Even if you turn OFF the button beep sound, the Hourly Chime and alarms will sound according to their settings. In any mode (except when setting parameters), press and hold button C to turn the button beep sound ON (no indicator) or OFF (indicator appears on screen). The indicator appears on screen in all modes when the button beep sound is OFF. Using buttons B and D, you can scroll through data and set parameters in various modes. Holding down one of the buttons while scrolling through data or setting parameters will cause the values to scroll automatically. When resetting seconds to 00, if the current seconds value is between 30 and 59, the minutes value will increase by 1. If the current seconds value is between 00 and 29, the minutes value will not change. The year can be set from 2000 to 2099. The watch has a built-in automatic calendar that accounts for leap years. Once you set the date, there should be no need to correct it, except when changing the battery. When wearing the watch on the inside of your wrist, hand movements or vibrations may cause the auto-illumination to activate frequently. To avoid draining the battery, turn OFF the auto-illumination function in situations where it might activate frequently. Frequent use of illumination shortens battery life.International Warranty Network for CASIO G-SHOCK Watches
