Component Overview
The pureAir 501 features distinct top and bottom views for operation and maintenance.
Bottom View
The bottom of the unit displays the following components:
- Filter Cover: The removable cover for accessing the air filter.
- Filter Cover Release: A mechanism to detach the filter cover.
- Power Port: The connection point for the power adapter.
Top View
The top of the unit includes the control interface:
- Power Button: Used to turn the unit ON and OFF.
- Light Button: Controls the unit's indicator lights and mode cycling.
- Away Mode Button: Activates the special 'Away Mode'.
Getting Started
Before using your pureAir 501, identify the optimal area for placement. For accurate purification, consider all connected rooms with open doorways, as the purification process is most effective without closed doors. The pureAir 501 is designed to purify up to 850 square feet of space, assuming an open floor plan with 8.5-foot ceilings.
- Connect the Power Adapter to a wall outlet, and then plug the other end into the unit's Power Port.
- Press the Power Button once to turn the unit ON. The unit will start in Ionization Mode, indicated by a Green Light. Press the Power Button again to switch to Purification Mode (Blue Light - Ozone). Press it a third time to turn the unit OFF.
- Press the Away Mode Button on the top of the unit to activate the Away Mode, indicated by a Red Light.
⚠ WARNING: DO NOT use AWAY MODE in spaces occupied by human beings or pets. Allow for 2 hours following treatment in AWAY MODE prior to re-entering. Temporary adverse reactions such as throat irritation, coughing, chest pain, or shortness of breath may be caused by excessive levels of ozone. If irritation occurs, check that the unit is turned off and further ventilate the space prior to returning. If adverse reactions persist, seek medical attention and discontinue use of the device.
NOTE: Your unit will revert to its previous mode after the 30-minute cleaning cycle has ended. Away Mode can also be activated while the unit is OFF. Once complete, your unit will shut OFF.
NOTE: Once your unit is turned OFF, it will continue to operate for 30 seconds to clear any ozone remaining inside.
