This firmware update introduces major changes to the following functions: ASP AUTO and MANUAL modes are now available. In ASP AUTO mode, ASP will automatically turn ON/OFF based on signal strength, activating noise cancellation for weak signals. In MANUAL mode, Super-DX and ASP can be manually switched ON/OFF by briefly pressing the [S-DX] key. ASP Manual Mode: The [S-DX] key is used to enable or disable S-DX and ASP. Pressing the [S-DX] key cycles through states: 'OFF', 'S-DX: ON', 'ASP: ON', 'S-DX+ASP: ON'. The transceiver display shows the current operating status of the ASP and Super-DX functions. ASP Auto Mode: Pressing and holding the [S-DX] key activates ASP AUTO mode. The transceiver display shows 'AUTO ON' or 'AUTO OFF'. ASP automatically turns on when signal strength is detected, providing noise cancellation for weak signals. For memory channels with assigned names (TAG), the display can switch between the frequency and the TAG. On the PMG screen, briefly pressing the right DIAL knob toggles between displays. On the Scope screen, briefly pressing the DIAL knob (associated with the scope function) also switches between frequency and TAG displays. PMG Screen Display: The display can show frequency (e.g., '145.320') or a memory tag (e.g., 'YAESU'). This switch is activated by briefly pressing the right DIAL knob. Scope Screen Display: Similarly, the Scope screen display can be switched between frequency (e.g., '145.320') and TAG (e.g., 'YAESU') by pressing the DIAL knob on the side where the scope function is active. The PMG screen includes a bar graph that shows the history of received signals. This graph smoothly disappears about 2 seconds after the signal is no longer detected. The hold time for this graph to disappear can be configured in the setup menu, with options ranging from 2 to 30 seconds (e.g., via [18 PMG] → [PMG HOLD]).AUTO ASP Mode and One-Touch Switching between ASP and Super-DX
