12. When to Use 12V Repair Function?

The 12V repair mode may be needed in the following situations:

  1. 1. Battery sulfation (sulfate crystallization): Phenomenon: When the battery is not fully charged or idle for a long time, lead sulfate crystals (sulfation) form on the surface of the plate, resulting in increased internal resistance and decreased capacity.
  2. 2. Battery capacity significantly decreases: Phenomenon: The battery life is significantly shortened, and it cannot be fully charged or discharges too quickly.
  3. 3. Performance degradation after long-term idleness: Phenomenon: The battery is stored for several months without use, and excessive self-discharge or sulfation occurs.
  4. 4. Minor physical damage: Phenomenon: The plate is slightly deformed or the electrolyte is dried up (non-sealed battery).

JC400 repair mode (12V repair) uses a high-frequency pulse repair method to break up the lead sulfate crystals on the plate, thereby restoring the battery plate activity, partially recovering the battery capacity, and extending the overall battery life.
