- Step 1: Insert the jump clamps into the startup port on the device.
- Step 2: Connect the positive ➕ clamp to the corresponding positive terminal of the car battery. In the power-on state, long press the "force start button ⚙️" for 5 seconds to activate boost start mode. The start indicator light on the display panel will light up, indicating the clamp output is active.
- Step 3: Connect the negative ➖ clamp to the negative terminal of the car battery and ensure the connection is good. At this time, the screen displays the voltage after the positive and negative clamps are connected to the car battery. Then start the vehicle.
- Step 4: After starting the car successfully, short press the "power button ?" or "force start button ⚙️" or "mode button ⚙️" to exit.
8.3 ConnectMAX Display
- In automatic start mode, after connecting the JC400's jumper clamps to the car battery, it enters a 10-second detection countdown.
- If the connection impedance of the jumper clamps is low, the corresponding clamp status indicator light will be green.
- If the connection impedance of the jumper clamps is high, the corresponding clamp status indicator light will be yellow.
- You can adjust the connection status of the jumper clamps during the 10-second countdown.
- After the 10-second countdown ends, reconnect the jumper clamps to start again.
- In force start mode, the jumper clamps status indicator light displays a yellow flashing light.
9. How to Use the Voltmeter Function?
9.1 In Jump Start Mode:
- Connect the positive ➕ and negative ➖ poles of the clamps to the positive and negative poles of the car battery respectively, and ensure that the connection is good.
- After the 10-seconds countdown is over, the start indicator light on the panel lights up and displays the current battery voltage of the car.
- Disconnect the clamps from the car battery and exit the voltmeter function mode.
9.2 In External Battery Charging Mode:
- Connect the positive ➕ and negative ➖ poles of the clamps to the positive and negative poles of the car battery respectively, and ensure that the connection is good. At this time, the product immediately displays the current external battery voltage.
- Disconnect the clamps from the car battery and exit the voltmeter function mode.
10. How to Charge an External Battery?
- Step 1: Plug in the AC power supply, and the product will automatically wake up and turn on.
- Step 2: Short press the "mode button ⚙️" to switch the charging mode. The corresponding voltage indicator light will be lit. There are five charging modes: 12V REPAIR, 12V, 12V AGM, 12V LITHIUM, and 6V.
- Step 3: Short press the "current switch mode ⚡" to switch the charging current. Three options are available: 0.75A, 1A, 2A.
- Step 4: Correctly connect the external battery. Attach the red clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative terminal. The external battery charge indicator light will flash, indicating that the battery starts charging.
- Step 5: When all the external battery charge indicator lights are constantly on, it indicates that the external battery is fully charged.
Note 1: Do not reverse the battery connections, as this will prevent charging.
Note 2: The charging and repair modes can only recognize external batteries with a voltage above 1V. For batteries with a voltage below 1V, please use the force charging mode.
11. How to Use Force Charge Function?
Allow using force charging mode when the charger is connected to the battery but cannot be detected due to low voltage. For example, if the battery voltage is below 1V and cannot be detected by the charger.
- Step 1: Plug in the AC power supply, and the product will automatically wake up and turn on.
- Step 2: Correctly connect the external battery. Attach the red clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative terminal.

The external battery charge indicator light will flash. After 5 minutes, the charger will return to normal charging operation, and low-voltage detection will be reactivated.
Note: Exercise extreme caution when using this mode. The safety protection mechanisms are disabled in this force charging mode, and there is a risk of electric shock. Ensure all connections are completed before using force charging function, and do not touch the connections at the same time. Otherwise, there may be a risk of sparks and explosion.
12. When to Use 12V Repair Function?
The 12V repair mode may be needed in the following situations:
- 1. Battery sulfation (sulfate crystallization): Phenomenon: When the battery is not fully charged or idle for a long time, lead sulfate crystals (sulfation) form on the surface of the plate, resulting in increased internal resistance and decreased capacity.
- 2. Battery capacity significantly decreases: Phenomenon: The battery life is significantly shortened, and it cannot be fully charged or discharges too quickly.
- 3. Performance degradation after long-term idleness: Phenomenon: The battery is stored for several months without use, and excessive self-discharge or sulfation occurs.
- 4. Minor physical damage: Phenomenon: The plate is slightly deformed or the electrolyte is dried up (non-sealed battery).
JC400 repair mode (12V repair) uses a high-frequency pulse repair method to break up the lead sulfate crystals on the plate, thereby restoring the battery plate activity, partially recovering the battery capacity, and extending the overall battery life.
13. How to Use LED Lights?
- Step 1: Press and hold the "LED light switch button ?" for 1 second to turn on the LED light.
- Step 2: Short press the "LED light switch button ?" repeatedly to switch light modes: 100% / 50% / 10% / Blink / SOS / Strobe / off.
- Step 3: Long press "LED light switch button ?" for 2 seconds to turn off the LED light.
