Getting Started

To begin, ensure the computer's power is off before connecting the scanner base. Once the base is fully connected and powered on, place the scanner into the base to establish a link. A flashing green LED on the base indicates the scanner's battery is charging. A power supply unit, if needed, must be ordered separately.

Connection Options

The Voyager XP 1472g scanner supports multiple connection types:

• USB Connection: For direct connection to a computer's USB port.
• Keyboard Wedge Connection: Connects between the keyboard and the computer, allowing both keyboard and scanner input.
• RS232 Serial Port Connection: For connecting to serial ports on terminals or other devices.

For highly reflective barcodes, tilting the scanner may improve readability.
