How to update HikVision DS-2CDxxx IP cameras. The latest HikVision firmware updates are now available in the use-IP forum to help your cameras be on the most up-to-date firmware. This will help with any bugs or glitches you may be experiencing as well as any new features. Firstly go to the use-IP forum (www.fourm.use-ip.co.uk) scroll down the page until you reach the sub category `Manufacturer Specific Forum'. Under this find HikVision (Manufacturers are in alphabetical order) and click onto that Forum. Find the thread `HikVision firmware for D-2CDxxx IP cameras' shown below. Download the zip file on this page using the download button at the top right of the page. Once you have downloaded the file unzip it using your preferred unzipping tool (we use 7zip) and save the file to a sensible place. Now log into your camera (Please note: this upgrade works for the following cameras: 20xx, 23xx, 24xx, 26xx, 27xx.) Now go to configuration>System>Maintenance, you will be presented with the page below. At the bottom of the page under the `Remote Upgrade' make sure that `firmware' is selected from the drop down list. Now click browse and select the upgrade that you have saved. Once selected click `upgrade'. Once you start the upgrade you will be prompted that your device will reboot, click `ok. The camera will now begin upgrading. Once the camera has updated go to >system>device information and make sure the latest firmware has been installed.
