Starter Tip: First time? Practice indoors in Ground Mode. Then try flying in Air Mode outside at low altitude (below 10 ft / 3 m) while learning to fly your HydraQuad to avoid unnecessary damage or injury.

How to Power Off & Disconnect Battery Safely

  1. Place controller in a safe area so it cannot be played with while you disconnect the HydraQuad.
  2. With controller powered on, push Left Stick down. Propellers should stop spinning.
  3. Once propellers are stationary, turn HydraQuad upside down and unplug the battery.

Powering Up and Pairing Controller

Charge Battery

Install Controller Batteries

(3 x AAA Batteries Not Included)

Press down on the battery guard and push up on the locking latch to release the battery. After battery installation, ensure locking latch is secured.

Battery Replacement

LIPO battery is detachable.

  1. Lay your HydraQuad remote controller so that the battery compartment faces upwards. The HydraQuad remote controller requires 3 x AAA "LRO3 / RO3"1.5V Batteries (not included).
  2. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the screw on the battery compartment cover.
  3. Remove any existing batteries and insert new batteries according to the diagram. Ensure that the positive and negative polarities match the illustrations inside the battery compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten screw using the screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.

Fail Safe Guide

If the HydraQuad goes out of range of the controller, it will automatically land itself. If the controller comes back into range before the HydraQuad lands, push up on the left stick to cancel landing.
