Yaesu M-70 Desktop Microphone
Key Features and Operation
The Yaesu M-70 is a desktop microphone designed for clear communication. It features a one-touch PTT (Push-To-Talk) key with a lock function. When the LOCK key is pressed, the transmit mode is held, and pressing it again returns the transceiver to receive mode.
PTT Key: Press and hold this key to transmit, and release it to receive.
Angle Adjustment Screws: The angle of the microphone can be adjusted by loosening the screws on the pivot top (turn counterclockwise). Position the microphone as desired and then tighten the screws (turn clockwise) to secure it.
Microphone Connections
The M-70 offers two microphone jack options:
- MIC Jack (8-pin): Use the supplied microphone cable to connect to a transceiver with a "modular terminal".
- MIC Jack (modular): Use the supplied microphone cable to connect to a transceiver with an "8-pin terminal".
Low-Cut Switch
When this switch is set to ON, a low-cut filter is activated. This filter has a cut-off frequency of 340 Hz with a slope of -6 dB/octave, which can help reduce background noise.
