WARNING
- This unit has no user-serviceable parts inside. Opening the casing presents a risk of electrocution and only use indoors. ASRock will not be responsible for any result of improper use, including but not limited to, any use of the product outside of its intended purpose or use inconsistent with the warranty terms available online.
- Only use the included cables specifically labeled for your PSU. Using incorrect cables may run the risk of catastrophic failure.
Installation Procedures
Remove the power supply from its packaging.
Use the screws provided with your case to install the power supply into your computer.
[Note] It is recommended to install the power supply with the fan facing down. However, if your case places the power supply at the bottom of the case and there are no ventilation holes available, it may be best to install the power supply with the fan facing up for greater efficiency and reliability.
Connect the 24-Pin ATX cable to the PSU and the motherboard.
Connect the 4+4-Pin EPS12V cable to the motherboard. (Optional)
If you plan on extreme overclocking and your motherboard supports additional 8-Pin or 4-Pin CPU power connectors, connect the second 4+4-Pin EPS12V cable. This is only needed for heavy overclocking or for Dual CPU motherboards.
Connect the 12V-2X6 / PCIe cables to your graphics card(s).
[Note]
- Take extra care to fully plug-in the 12V-2X6 cable to PSU and your graphics card.
- Avoid bending the 12V-2X6 cable within 35mm of the 12V-2X6 connector.
- Do not attempt to plug an 8-Pin PCIe cable into a 6-Pin connector without first detaching the two extra pins.
- We recommend to use one PCIe cable per PCIe connector on your graphics card if the card requires 2 or more PCIe connections.
Connect SATA power cables to all data drives or optical drives (hard drives, solid state drives, optical drives).
Connect the peripheral "PATA" 4-Pin connectors for fans, pumps, legacy components and other devices/adapters.
Connect the AC power cord to your power supply and to the wall. Check all connections to assure a solid connection and turn the power switch on the power supply to the ON position (If the iCOOL mode is set to ON, the fan will not spin during low to medium loads).
