Certification Readiness

To be eligible for certification, candidates must:

  1. Achieve the Calix E-Series System Specialist designation by passing the Ethernet Access Network (EAN) Specialist exam and any two of the following: E7 GPON Specialist, E7 Active Ethernet Specialist, or E7 Copper Access Specialist.
  2. Complete the self-paced eLearning course: EAN Design & Engineering Best Practices.
  3. Pass the EAN Design & Engineering Best Practices Certified Professional exam.

Certification exams are administered online via Calix Academy. Exams must be completed in a single session and cannot be suspended or resumed later. Exiting the browser before completion will result in submission and scoring. Candidates who do not pass will receive immediate feedback on areas needing further study. One re-test is permitted. Failure on the second attempt requires re-registration and payment for the exam.
