myTouchSmart Simple Set Plug-In Timer
Overview
This document provides instructions for the myTouchSmart Simple Set Plug-In Timer, designed for easy programming of lights and appliances. It offers customizable on/off times for convenience and energy savings.
Timer Features and Controls
The timer features several controls and indicators to manage its functions:
- My on/off time: Buttons to set custom on and off times for your programs.
- Reset button: Clears all current times and schedules, resetting the timer to factory settings. This button is typically located in the lower left corner and requires a toothpick or pencil to press.
- Up and Down arrows (▲, ▼): Used to scroll through and set the current time and program times.
- Clock vs. set mode indicator: Displays whether the timer is in clock mode or setting mode.
- Active program indicator arrow: Appears when a program is set, indicating that the timer will activate.
- AM/PM Indicator: Shows whether the set time is AM or PM.
- myTOUCH SMART logo
- Outlet: Where the timer plugs into the wall.

Initial Setup
1. Setup and Charging
If the display numbers are difficult to read or not visible, plug the timer into an electrical outlet and allow it to charge for approximately 1 hour. Once charged, press the reset button [reset button] using a toothpick or pencil to ensure it is ready for setup.
2. Set the Current Time
Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set the current time. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator. If daylight saving time adjustments are needed, use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to advance or decrease the time by one hour.
Programming Your Timer
1. Choose Your Custom "my on time"
Press the "my on time" button. The default time will flash on the display. Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set your desired turn-on time. If you set the "my on time" earlier than the current time, the timer will activate the next day at the scheduled time.
After setting the desired "my on time", you can either wait 5 seconds for the display to stabilize, press the "my on time" button again, or press the "my off time" button to proceed to setting the turn-off time.
2. Choose Your Custom "my off time"
Press the "my off time" button. The default time will flash on the display. Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrows to set your desired turn-off time.
Once the "my off time" is set, you can either wait 5 seconds, press the "my off time" button again, or press another "my on time" button to set the next scheduled on time.
Note: When a "my on" or "my off" time is successfully set, the active program indicator arrow will appear on the screen, confirming that a program is active.
Default "my on" / "my off" Times
The timer may come with pre-set default times:
- Default On: 5:00 p.m.
- Default Off: 6:00 p.m.
- Alternative On: 12:00 a.m.
- Alternative Off: 6:00 a.m.
Important Information
Safety Warnings
Risk of Electric Shock:
- Plug directly into an electrical outlet.
- Do not use in wet locations.
- Ensure the plug is fully inserted into the outlet.
- Use indoors only.
- Always unplug the timer before cleaning.
- Keep out of reach of children.

- Do not use to control appliances that contain heating elements, such as cooking appliances, heaters, or irons.

- Do not use with extension cords.
