Setting Up
When one transmitter is used:
- Insert batteries into the transmitter.
- Within 30 seconds of powering up the transmitter, insert batteries into the Temperature Station. The LCD will briefly light up all segments, then display indoor temperature and time (12:00). If data is not shown after 60 seconds, remove and reinsert batteries.
- After battery insertion, the Temperature Station will start receiving the signal from the transmitter.
- The outdoor temperature and signal reception icon should appear on the Temperature Station. If not, remove batteries from both units and reset from step 1.
- Ensure sufficient 915 MHz transmission by keeping the distance between the Temperature Station and transmitter within 330 feet (100 meters).
- Use name brand alkaline batteries dated at least 7 years in advance or testing to 1.48V.
When more than one transmitter is used:
- Remove batteries from all units and wait 60 seconds if a single transmitter setup was previously performed.
- Insert batteries into the first transmitter.
- Within 30 seconds of powering up the first transmitter, insert batteries into the Temperature Station. The LCD will briefly light up all segments, then display indoor temperature and time (12:00). If data is not shown after 60 seconds, remove and reinsert batteries.
- The outdoor temperature from the first transmitter (channel 1) and the signal reception icon should appear. If not, remove batteries from both units and reset from step 1.
- Insert batteries into the second transmitter as soon as the outdoor temperature readings from the first transmitter are displayed. (Note: Insert within 10 seconds of the first transmitter's reception).
- The outdoor temperature from the second transmitter and the "channel 2" icon should appear. If not, remove batteries from all units and reset from step 1.
- Insert batteries into the third transmitter as soon as the "channel 2" icon and outdoor temperature data are displayed. Within 2 minutes, the channel 3 outdoor data will appear, and the channel icon may shift back to "1" if successfully received. If not, restart setup from step 1. (Note: Insert within 10 seconds of the second transmitter's reception).
- Maintain a distance of no more than 330 feet (100 meters) between the Temperature Station and transmitters for sufficient 915 MHz transmission.
Note: If signal reception is not successful on 915MHz for 40 seconds, the frequency changes to 920MHz, then 910MHz for re-synchronization.
IMPORTANT: Transmission problems can occur if the setup for additional transmitters is not followed correctly. If problems arise, remove batteries from all units and restart the setup from step 1.
Battery Installation and Replacement
How to Install and Replace Batteries in the Temperature Transmitter
The Temperature transmitter uses 2 x AA, IEC LR6, 1.5V batteries. A low battery icon will appear on the Temperature Station's LCD when replacement is needed.
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert batteries, observing correct polarity (refer to markings).
- Replace the battery holder.
Note: When changing batteries in any unit, all units must be reset by following the setup procedures, as a random security code is assigned by the transmitter at start-up.
How to Install and Replace Batteries in the Temperature Station
The Temperature Station uses 2 x AAA, IEC LR3, 1.5V batteries. A low battery icon will appear on the LCD when replacement is needed.
- Lift up the battery compartment cover.
- Insert batteries, observing correct polarity (refer to markings).
- Replace the compartment cover.
BATTERY CHANGE: It is recommended to replace batteries in all units every 12 months for optimal accuracy.
Please participate in environmental preservation: return used batteries to an authorized depot.
Function Keys
The Temperature Station has four easy-to-use function keys:
- SET key (Setting): Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to enter Manual setting mode for 12/24 hour time display and manual time settings.
- MIN/MAX key (Min/Max temperature): Used to toggle between the minimum and maximum recorded readings of indoor and outdoor temperature. Press and hold to reset minimum and maximum records when they are displayed.
- + key (Plus): Used to make adjustments during manual settings.
- CH key (Channel): Used to toggle between Outdoor transmitters 1, 2, and 3 (if more than one transmitter is used).
LCD Screen and Settings
The LCD screen is divided into three sections displaying information for time, indoor temperature, and outdoor temperature.
- Section 1 - TIME: Displays the current time.
- Section 2 - INDOOR TEMPERATURE: Displays the indoor temperature in °F/°C.
- Section 3 - OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE: Displays the outdoor temperature in °F/°C.
Indicators on the screen include:
- Outdoor Reception Signal icon: Appears when the signal is successfully received. A short blink indicates reception is in progress.
- Sensor identification No.: Shown when more than one sensor is used.
- Receiver Low battery indicator: Indicates the battery status for the receiver.
- Transmitter Low battery indicator: Indicates the battery status for the transmitter.

Note: All indoor and outdoor MIN/MAX records from all transmitters will be reset simultaneously.
Temperature Transmitter
The outdoor temperature is measured and transmitted to the Temperature Station approximately every 4 seconds. The transmission range of the Temperature Transmitter can be affected by temperature; it may decrease in cold conditions. Consider this when placing the transmitter.
915 MHz Reception Check
The Temperature Station should receive temperature data within minutes of setup. If data is not received after approximately 2 minutes (display shows "-- --" after consecutive failures), check the following:
- Ensure the Temperature Station or transmitter is at least 5 to 6.5 feet (1.5 to 2 meters) away from interfering sources like computer monitors or TV sets.
- Avoid positioning the Temperature Station near or on metal window frames.
- Other electrical products (headphones, speakers) operating on the 915MHz frequency may interfere with signal transmission and reception.
- Nearby devices operating on 915MHz can also cause interference.
Note: Once the 915MHz signal is received correctly, do not reopen the battery cover of either unit, as batteries might dislodge and cause a false reset. If this happens accidentally, reset all units. Otherwise, transmission problems may occur.
The transmission range is approximately 330 feet (100 m) in open space, but this depends on the surrounding environment and interference levels. If reception is still not possible, reset all system units.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
Low battery indicators are displayed on the LCD when batteries need changing.
Positioning
Positioning the Temperature Station
The Temperature Station can be placed on any flat surface using its foldout table stand, or it can be wall-mounted.
To wall mount:
- Fix a screw (not supplied) into the desired wall, leaving the head extended about 5mm.
- Hang the temperature station onto the screw, ensuring it locks into place before releasing.
Positioning the Temperature Transmitter
The Transmitter includes a holder that can be attached to a wall using the supplied screws. It can also be placed on a flat surface by attaching the stand to its bottom.
To wall mount:
- Secure the bracket to a desired wall using screws and plastic anchors.
- Clip the remote temperature transmitter onto the bracket.
Note: For accurate readings and to prolong sensor life, place the transmitter in a sheltered area, out of direct sun and rain. Fog and mist do not affect the sensor, but immersion in water will.
Before permanently fixing the transmitter wall base, test all units in their desired locations to confirm outdoor temperature reception. If the signal is not received, relocate the transmitter(s) or adjust their position slightly.
Care and Maintenance
- Avoid extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock, as these can damage the unit and lead to inaccurate readings.
- When cleaning the display and casings, use a soft damp cloth only. Do not use solvents or scouring agents, as they may scratch the LCD and casings.
- Do not submerge the unit in water.
- Immediately remove low-powered batteries to prevent leakage and damage. Replace only with new batteries of the recommended type.
- Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to the point of purchase for repair by a qualified engineer. Tampering may invalidate the guarantee.
- Avoid exposing the units to extreme and sudden temperature changes, which can affect readings and accuracy.
