Important Safety Notice

For your own safety please read the following important safety instructions carefully before attempting to connect this unit to the mains power supply. They will also enable you to get the best performance from and prolong the life of the unit:

  1. Read these instructions.
  2. Keep these instructions.
  3. Heed all warnings.
  4. Follow all instructions.
  5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  12. Use with only the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
  13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord or plug having been damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.

The unit must be installed in a manner that makes disconnection of the mains plug from the mains socket outlet (or appliance connector from the rear of the unit) possible. Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable. Only use the mains cord supplied with this unit.

Please ensure there is ample ventilation (at least 10cm clearance all round). Do not put any objects on top of this unit. Do not situate it on a rug or other soft surface and do not obstruct any air inlets or outlet grilles. Do not cover the ventilation grilles with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.

This unit must not be used near water or exposed to dripping or splashing water or other liquids. No objects filled with liquid, such as vases, shall be placed on the unit.

Safety Warnings and Compliance

The lightning flash with the arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated 'dangerous voltage' within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the service literature relevant to this appliance.

FCC Regulations

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference; and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

CE mark: The instructions shall include the following as far as applicable.

  • Instructions to ensure correct and safe installation and interconnection of the equipment.
  • For equipment intended only for use in a restricted access area, the instructions shall so state.
  • If the equipment is intended to be fastened in place, the instructions shall explain how to securely fasten the equipment.
  • For audio equipment with terminals classified as ES3 in accordance with Table E.1, and for other equipment with terminals marked in accordance with F.3.6.1, the instructions shall require that the external wiring connected to these terminals shall be installed by a skilled person, or shall be connected by means of ready-made leads or cords that are constructed in a way that would prevent contact with any ES3 circuit.

Front Panel Functions

The front panel features a comprehensive array of controls for managing audio inputs, effects, and overall output. The layout includes:

  • Input Channels (1A, 2A, 3A): Located at the top, these support XLR, 6.35 TRS, and 6.35 TS headphone plugs.
  • Input Channels (1B, 2B, 3B): Located below the 1A/2A/3A inputs, these exclusively support 6.35 TS headphone plugs.
  • Channel Controls (Per Channel): Each channel (1, 2, 3) features controls for PEAK (overload indicator), GAIN, HI-Z (high impedance input switch), VOLUME, BASS, MIDDLE, and TREBLE. The GAIN button can be pressed down for high gain or popped up for low gain, suitable for instruments. Channel 3A also includes a +48V Phantom Power button.
  • Effect Section: Controls for selecting and adjusting effect levels for Chorus, Delay, and Reverb. Multiple effects can be combined.
  • Master Controls: Main volume adjustment (MASTER VOL) and HEADPHONE volume adjustment.
  • Input Selection & Playback: Buttons and indicators for BT Wireless, USB, TF CARD, AUX IN, LIVE1, LIVE2. An INPUT SELECT knob allows choosing the audio source. Playback controls include Last Song, Play/Pause, Next Song, and RECORD (for USB/TF card).
  • Harmony Controls (Channel 3): Controls for pitch and harmony adjustment: DOWN 2, DOWN 1, HARMONY, UP 1, UP 2.
  • Power and Reset: A POWER button (long press to turn on/off) and a RESET function (requires inserting a sharp object).
  • LED Indicators: POWER LED and BT Wireless LED.

Attached List 1: Effect Selection

The SELECT EFF. LEVEL knobs allow adjustment of effect levels. Pressing SELECT cycles through effect types:

  • Chorus
  • Delay
  • Reverb
  • Chorus + Delay
  • Chorus + Reverb
  • Delay + Reverb
  • Professional Reverb (long press to enter/exit)

Rear Panel Functions

The rear panel provides essential connection ports:

  • PRE OUT (1): A line output jack for connecting to mixers, external record devices, or active speakers.
  • AMP IN (2): An amplifier input jack. Connecting to this jack will cut off the pre-signal of the equipment. It is recommended that non-professional persons do not use this connection.
  • POWER IN (3): The power input jack, requiring a 15V/4A (or 15V/3A) adapter.

Operating Instructions

General Instructions

  • Power Switch: Long press for 1 second to turn on, long press for 3 seconds to turn off.
  • BT Wireless Connect: For audio, connect to "COMPACT-1500 Music" via mobile/iPad. For app control, open the dedicated app and click "CONNECT" to choose "COMPACT-1500 Control".
  • Battery Status: A blank battery icon indicates low battery and need for charging. A glittering icon means charging. A full icon means the battery is fully charged.
  • Battery Protect: The equipment automatically turns off if the voltage drops below the protect voltage or if there is no signal input for an extended period.
  • Before Connecting/Shutting Off: Confirm all volumes are at minimum to prevent damage to components or connected devices.
  • Switch On Procedure: 1. Adjust volume knobs to minimum. 2. Connect all audio devices. 3. Press the power button. (Incorrect order may damage speakers or other devices).
  • Switch Off Procedure: 1. Adjust volume knobs to minimum. 2. Long press the power button. 3. Shut off all audio inputs. (Incorrect order may damage speakers or other devices).

Specific Input Usage

  • Instrument Input: When using an instrument with CH1B or CH2B, press the high impedance button (HI-Z) and choose the low gain mode using the GAIN button.
  • Microphone Input: When using CH1/CH2 as microphone channels, press the GAIN button and choose the high gain mode.
  • +48V Phantom Power: Press the +48V button when connecting a condenser microphone. Condenser microphones have high sensitivity; it is suggested to turn on the noise gate in the APP when using them.

Charging and Storage

  • Charging: Charge the unit when the battery is low.
  • Long-term Storage: To extend battery life, store the equipment in the correct condition if not used for a long time.

Live Broadcast Instructions

To connect for live broadcasting:

  1. Connect the broadcast plug with the mobile headphone jack using a 4-pin 3.5mm broadcast line (LIVE 1 for iOS, LIVE 2 for Android).
  2. Plug line microphones into the corresponding input jacks. CH3 can connect with XLR or condenser microphones. CH2B connects with a 6.5TRS plug microphone.
  3. Connect instrument output plugs into CH1 or CH2. CH1A/CH2A connect XLR instruments, CH1B/CH2B connect instruments with 6.5TRS jacks.
  4. Turn all channel volumes and MASTER VOL to minimum before turning on the equipment.
  5. Connect vocal music sources via USB, TF card, BT Wireless, or AUX. Use the INPUT SELECT button to choose the corresponding vocal input channel.
  6. Turn MASTER VOL and HEADPHONE VOL to maximum. Adjust the volume for CH3, instrument channels (CH1/2), and music channels (CH4/5), as well as EQ and effect modes/levels, to begin live broadcasting.

The broadcast signal is a mix of vocal music, microphone signal, and instrument signal.

Mobile Compatibility: Some mobile brands may require an adapter (e.g., Type-C to 3.5mm jack or Lightning to 3.5mm jack) to connect to the mobile headphone jack.

Headphone Jack Usage: Plugging into the headphone jack on the front panel and adjusting MASTER VOL to minimum or turning it off will only decrease or turn off the speaker volume, without affecting the live broadcast room volume.

APP Control: Adjust channel volumes or broadcast volume via the dedicated APP to control the live broadcast room volume.

APP Function Instruction

The MRS COMPACT-1500 can be controlled via a dedicated mobile application for iOS and Android. Scan the QR codes provided or download the special APP.

App Interface Overview

  • Home Screen: Open the software, click "CONNECT", then choose "COMPACT-1500_Control" to connect and start using the app.
  • Channel Adjust Pages: Each channel (1, 2, 3) has an adjust page allowing control over Main Volume, Effect Level, and Effect Mode. Pressing '>' enters a detailed page for specific channel adjustments.
  • Equalizer Module: Each channel and the music channel feature an equalizer with 7 sliders representing gain values at different frequency points, allowing users to fine-tune the timbre. Bass, Alto, and Treble adjustment knobs are also present for each channel.
  • Music Channel Adjust Page: This page allows control over the main volume of music input, vocal removal, and selection of music input channels (AUX, K-LIVE, BT Wireless, USB, TF card). K-LIVE mode is used with Karaoke software.
  • Effect Parameter Adjust Page: This page allows detailed adjustment of effects such as Chorus Rate and Depth, Delay Time and Feedback, and Reverb Time.
  • Other Functions: Includes a Professional Reverb effect switch, Battery display, a button to enter the KOL panel, and a button to resume factory settings. It also features Noise Gate settings (recommended for professionals) and No Signal Shutdown Duration settings (2 hours, 5 hours).

  4. Warranty period is one year; our company offers free repair if there is a fault within the warranty period.

B. Following reasons cause damage, and are not in warranty range:

  1. Didn't obey user manual to use or install.
  2. Damage by person or accident.
  3. Maintenance, refit not approved by the company.
  4. Aging on equipment surface and shell, bumps and scratches.
