Headset Overview

Charging Case Overview (Optional)

The charging case must be charged for 90 minutes to be fully charged. When the charging case is fully charged, it provides an additional 10 hours of battery life for the headset.

Charging

The headset must be charged for 90 minutes to be fully charged. The indicator light turns off when charging is complete.

TIP: To restore precision for talk time estimates, fully discharge and then fully charge the batteries.

TIP: You can check the headset's battery status by pressing the call button ? while wearing the headset or by pressing the voice button ? and saying "check battery".

Checking Headset Battery Status

There are several ways to check your headset's battery status:

  1. Wear the headset and press the call button ? to hear a voice prompt.
  2. When not wearing the headset, press the call button ? and observe the headset indicator lights ?.
  3. Check the Plantronics Hub home screen.

Using the Charging Case

A fully charged charging case can provide an additional 10 hours of talk time for the headset. The charging case must be charged for 90 minutes to be fully charged. It takes 2 hours to fully charge the headset and charging case together.

IMPORTANT: The charging case is put into deep sleep mode after manufacturing to save power and protect the battery. Activate the charging case by connecting it to a power source for at least 1 minute. The indicator lights ? blink during charging.

Check the charging case or headset battery status by pressing/swiping the case or headset icon. The indicator lights ? show battery status.

Fit

Adjusting the Fit

Place the ear loop behind your ear so the headset fits comfortably and securely.

  1. With the headset off ⚡, replace the ear tip with one of the other sizes if it is too loose or too tight.
  2. You can adjust the fit by rotating the ear tip on the headset or adding the ear loop (optional).*

*If you use the ear loop, it may reduce sensor sensitivity. Turn off the sensors ? for better performance.

Pairing

ℹ️ If your phone has NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities, go to NFC pairing.

Bluetooth Pairing ?

  1. Wear the headset and turn it on ⚡. You will hear "pairing" in the default language. The headset indicator light ? flashes red and blue ??.
  2. Activate Bluetooth® on your phone and search for new devices.
    • iPhone ? > Settings > Bluetooth > On*
    • Android ? > Settings > Bluetooth > On > Search*
  3. Select "PLT V3200 Series". If prompted, enter "0000" as the passcode or accept the connection. When devices are paired, you will hear "pairing successful".

*Menus may vary by device.

NFC Pairing ?

  1. Ensure NFC is enabled and your phone's screen is unlocked.
  2. Touch the earbuds to your phone's NFC tag until NFC pairing is complete. If prompted, accept the connection.

TIP: Refer to your smartphone's screen for instructions to start and accept the pairing process.

Pairing Mode

ℹ️ The headset's NFC tag is on the outside of the left earcup. Your phone's NFC tag may be in a different location.

To enter pairing mode: Start the headset ⚡ and press and hold the call button ? until you hear "pairing".

Download Plantronics Hub for iOS/Android at plantronics.com/software, the App Store, or Google Play.

Download Plantronics Hub for Windows/Mac at plantronics.com/software.

You can manage your headset settings on a computer with Plantronics Hub for Windows and Mac, or on a mobile device with Plantronics Hub for iOS and Android.

Basics

Making, Answering, and Ending Calls ?

Answering an Incoming Call

Choose:

Answering a Second Call

First press the call button ? to end the current call, then press the call button ? again to answer the new call.

Ending a Call

Press the call button ? to end the current call.

Rejecting an Incoming Call

Choose:

Redialing the Last Outgoing Call

Press the call button ? twice.

Muting the Microphone ?

During a call, press the mute button ?. You will hear "mute on" or "mute off".

Mute Reminder

If enabled, a message will repeat reminding you the microphone is muted each time you speak. Adjust settings in Plantronics Hub.

Name Announcement (Mobile Phone Only)

When wearing the headset ⚡, you will hear the caller's name to decide whether to answer or ignore the call without looking at your phone screen ?.

The caller's name is announced:

The caller's name is NOT announced if the caller is unknown, not in your list, blocked, or if the language is not supported.

Voice Control ?

Siri, Google Now™, Cortana: Press and hold the call button ? for 2 seconds when not in a call until you hear a tone. Wait for the phone prompt to activate voice dialing, search, and other smartphone voice features.

Adjusting Volume ?

Press the volume button ? up (+) or down (-) during a call or when streaming audio. When not in an active call or streaming audio, you can use the volume buttons ? to adjust the volume for name announcements and other voice prompts.

Playing or Pausing Streamed Audio ▶️ / ⏸️

When not on a call, press and hold the play/pause button ▶️ / ⏸️ for 2 seconds to pause or resume streaming audio.

ℹ️ You must pause streaming audio before using headset voice commands to initiate an outgoing call (callback or voice dialing).

ℹ️ If you turn off the headset ⚡ or move out of range while streaming audio, the headset will not resume streaming audio automatically upon reconnection; you must manually resume streaming from your phone ?.

Using Sensors

Smart sensors react when you put on or take off the headset ⚡. Customize with Plantronics Hub. Default settings are described below.

*Features vary depending on the application. May not work with web-based applications.

Resetting Sensors

You may need to reset the sensors if they are not functioning as expected. Connect the headset directly to your computer's USB port ? and place it, earcup up, on a flat, non-metallic surface for more than 10 seconds.

Advanced Features

Disabling Sensors

You can disable the smart sensors on your headset ⚡ in several ways:

ℹ️ Sensors cannot be disabled while audio is playing.

Select Language

You can change the headset language wirelessly through the Plantronics Hub software. Download: plantronics.com/software. Choose:

Voice Command List

This is a list of common voice commands. You can use Plantronics Hub to customize any of these messages. Download Plantronics Hub at plantronics.com/software.

Change Voice Commands for Answering/Ignoring Calls

Enable or disable voice commands to answer/ignore calls using Plantronics Hub. Go to plantronics.com/software.

Using Two Phones (Multipoint)

Thanks to Multipoint technology, you can pair a second phone ? and answer calls from both phones.

When your two phones ? are paired, it is easy to answer calls from either phone. If you are already on a call, an incoming call alert will sound for the incoming call on the second paired phone. To answer a second call on the second phone, you must end the current call (press the call button ?) so the new call is answered automatically. If you choose not to answer, the second call will be forwarded to voicemail.

You can manage your headset settings through Plantronics Hub for Windows/Mac on your computer ? or Plantronics Hub for iOS/Android on your mobile device ?. Go to plantronics.com/software.

Firmware Update

Update firmware regularly to improve performance and add new features to your headset ⚡. You can update firmware on a computer ? with Plantronics Hub for Windows and Mac, or on a mobile device ? with Plantronics Hub for iOS and Android. Download Plantronics Hub at plantronics.com/software. Choose:

When updating firmware:

ℹ️ Smartphone ?: If you receive many calls, emails, or texts, try enabling the Do Not Disturb function in your phone's settings while updating.

Headset Reset

If a wireless firmware update has failed multiple times or the headset ⚡ stops responding, do the following:

  1. Download and install Plantronics Hub for Windows/Mac at plantronics.com/software.
  2. Connect the headset ⚡ to a computer ? via a USB cable ?.
  3. Open Plantronics Hub, go to Help > Support > Firmware Updates and Reset, and enter the Product ID (PID) to complete the reset.

Troubleshooting

People calling cannot hear me.

I cannot hear calls or music.

My headset does not achieve 6 hours of talk time when fully charged.
