Teenage Engineering Computer 2
Mini-ITX Case: Step-by-Step Assembly
The Computer 2 is a lightweight, portable computer case designed for your needs in a small form factor. It is constructed from one piece of foldable plastic, with each side clipping together – no screws are needed for the chassis itself. Follow this simple assembly guide to fold and snap your case together, install your components, and get started.
Components Included:
- A. Silicone feet x4
- B. PSW cable x2
- C. Power LED
- D. Silicone fasteners x4
- E. Screws x4
- F. Nut + bolt
- G. Motherboard power cable
- H. CPU power cable
- I. GPU power cable
- J. O-rings x2
Step 1: Prepare the Chassis
Unfold the computer chassis and position it on a flat surface with the interior side facing upwards. Ensure your work area is static-free.
Step 2: Detach Carrying Handle
Cut and detach the carrying handle from the chassis and set it aside. It will be attached at a later stage in the assembly process.
Step 3: Affix Silicone Feet
Affix the silicone feet. Pull them through the designated holes on the underside of the chassis.
Step 4: Mount Motherboard
Assemble motherboard*. Attach the motherboard to the left panel. Secure the lower left snap-hook (indicated as '1') first, then snap the motherboard into place.
Step 5: Connect Front Panel Cables
Affix 'PSW' cables to the front panel. Insert the unsleeved connector through the power button slot, aligning the second pin with the horizontal slot. Connect both cables to the motherboard*.
Step 6: Install Power LED
Affix the supplied power-led cables to the front cover and connect them to the motherboard*. Install the supplied power LED, ensuring the long leg (anode) is on the side marked with '+'.
Step 7: Mount Chassis Fan
Attach the supplied silicone fasteners to an 80 mm chassis fan. Press-mount the fan onto the right panel and connect its cable to the motherboard*.
Step 8: Secure Power Supply (PSU)
Secure the power supply (PSU) to the rear cover of the chassis, ensuring the PSU fan is facing downwards. Use the screws supplied with the PSU.
Step 9: Prepare for Graphics Card (GPU)
If a graphics card (GPU) is part of your build, make the necessary cutouts on the rear cover to accommodate the GPU ports.
Step 10: Install Graphics Card (GPU)
Mount the GPU into the PCI-e slot on the motherboard*. Secure it using the supplied M4 screw and nut to the back cover. Do not overtighten the screw!
Step 11: Connect Motherboard Power
Ensure that the wattage needed for your components is supported by the PSU. Connect the motherboard* power cable to the PSU.
Step 12: Connect CPU Power
Connect the CPU* power cable.
Step 13: Connect GPU Power
Connect the GPU power cable, if a GPU is installed.
Step 14: Fold and Close Chassis
Once all components are installed and cables are managed, fold the computer chassis and snap it shut.
Step 15: Attach O-rings to Handle
Attach the two supplied O-rings to the handle.
Step 16: Mount Carrying Handle
Attach and bend the handle in place at the hinge points on the top of the case.
Step 17: Connect Main Power
Connect the main power cable and confirm that the PSU's power switch is in the 'on' position.
Step 18: Completion
Congratulations! Your computer build is ready.
