Regulatory Instructions
Please read the user manual after having read the regulatory warnings.
Safety Instructions
- PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Please refer to the unit's instructions for use for cleaning and maintenance details.
- Please take care to install this unit as specified in its instructions for use.
- The power plug must remain accessible or a switch must be installed in the fixed wiring, in accordance with the installation rules, in order to allow the unit to be disconnected from the mains supply at all times.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risks.
- Please refer to the instructions for use for details on how to clean surfaces that come into contact with food.
- This unit may be used by children aged 8 years and above, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and persons with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, provided they are properly supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Children should not play with the unit. User cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by children, unless they are over 8 years old and being supervised.
- Keep the unit and its cable out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
- If the unit is intended for outdoor use (Specified in the user instructions): The unit is suitable for outdoor use.
Specific Safety and Usage Guidelines
- The power cable should be checked regularly for any sign of damage, and if the cable is damaged, the unit must not be used.
- The unit must be powered by a circuit comprising a residual differential current (RCD) device with an rated operating differential current not exceeding 30 mA.
- The unit must be connected to an earthed socket (for Class I appliances).
- For units equipped with a connector base and intended to be partially or fully immersed in water for cleaning purposes: The mobile connector socket must be removed before cleaning the unit. The connector base must be dry before using the unit again.
- For units intended for use with a mobile connector socket equipped with a thermostat: Only the appropriate mobile connector socket should be used.
- If the [hot-surface-symbol] symbol is marked on the unit: CAUTION: Hot surface. The surfaces are likely to become hot during use.
- For toasters: Bread can burn. Therefore, do not use the toaster near or under combustible materials, such as curtains. The instructions for use will provide details on how to remove bread crumbs, where applicable.
- For electric barbecues: CAUTION: Do not use charcoal or a similar fuel with this unit.
- For barbecues intended for use with water: Please refer to the instructions for use for the maximum quantity of water that can be poured into the unit. The unit has not been designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- This unit is intended for household use only. It is not suitable for use in similar applications, such as: kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other work environments; farms or by guests in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments; bed and breakfast-type environments; catering and similar non-retail applications.
- Cleaning and maintenance operations must not be carried out by children.
- This unit is solely intended for a domestic setting and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Remove all the packaging before installation.
- WARNING: Keep packaging materials and accessories out of the reach of children. Never allow children to play with the packaging or accessories.
- Check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the voltage in your home.
- Under no circumstances should the housing be opened. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the unit's openings, and do not block the air vents.
- DANGER: Never use the unit outdoors unless otherwise specified.
- DANGER: Do not connect the unit to the mains with wet hands; you risk receiving an electric shock.
- The power cable should be arranged in such a way that it does not touch any parts of the hob or nearby appliances that may get hot.
- The unit must not be connected via an extension cord or multi-socket.
- CAUTION: Do not bend, crush or jam the power cable behind the unit.
- Leave enough space behind the unit to avoid direct contact with the mains socket.
- CAUTION: This unit must not be powered by an external switch, such as a timer, a separate remote control or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the electricity supplier.
- Never disassemble or modify the unit.
- Any thorough cleaning and/or maintenance-related operation must be carried out with the unit's power plug unplugged or after the power supply has been cut off.
- Should a malfunction occur that cannot be resolved by the information provided in the unit's instructions for use, please contact the after-sales service.
Symbols Explained
- CE Mark: This unit complies with European regulations.
- [recycling-symbol]: The product and its packaging should be collected for recycling purposes.
- [wEEE-symbol] [do-not-dispose-with-household-waste]: This product must not be disposed of or recycled with other household waste when it reaches the end of its service life.
- [alternating-current-symbol]: The unit's power supply is alternating.
- [double-insulation-symbol]: If found on the nameplate: The unit boasts reinforced (double) insulation as a safety feature and therefore, does not require an earthed connection.
- [hot-surface-symbol]: Depending on the unit: CAUTION: Very hot surface.

What to do with your waste?
- Please dispose of your waste in accordance with the following regulations to reduce your purchase's impact on the environment.
- You are legally responsible for separating the waste associated with this product - including any accessories, instructions and packaging - in order for it to be recycled.
- Electrical or electronic devices must not be sorted or recycled with other household waste.
- Never leave used products and packaging materials within the reach of children, as they pose risks.
- Please retain any instructions throughout the unit's service life and include this documentation with the unit, should it ever be passed on to third party.

Warranty Conditions
This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase.* This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear.
