Product Overview and Components
This guide details the installation of the DOMETIC Mini Heki® FL roof light. The kit typically includes:

Step 1: Prepare the Opening
1A: Marking: Measure and mark a square opening of 400 mm x 400 mm on the vehicle roof.
1B: Cutting: Cut out the marked opening. Ensure the edges are clean.
1C: Frame Assembly: Insert the inner frame (2) into the outer frame (1).
Step 2: Apply Sealant
2A: Sealant Application: Apply a continuous bead of suitable sealant around the underside of the outer frame (1).
2B: Gasket Placement: Position the sealing gasket (3) onto the outer frame.
Step 3: Install the Unit
3A: Positioning: Carefully place the assembled outer frame unit into the prepared roof opening.
3B: Insertion from Below: From inside the vehicle, insert the inner frame (2) into the outer frame (1).
Step 4: Secure the Unit
4A: Screw Insertion: Insert the fastening screws (4) through the inner frame and into the outer frame.
4B: Tightening: Tighten the screws to a torque of ≤ 1.5 Nm. Ensure the unit is firmly secured and flush with the roof.
Step 5: Seal Edges
5A: Exterior Sealing: Apply sealant around the exterior edges of the outer frame to ensure a watertight seal.
Step 6: Final Interior Assembly
6A: Inner Frame Placement: Insert the inner frame (2) into the outer frame (1) from the interior side.
6B: Securing Inner Frame: The inner frame is typically secured by clips or a locking mechanism.
Step 7: Interior View
7A: Interior Frame: The inner frame features ventilation openings for air circulation.
Step 8: Exterior View
8A: Exterior Frame: The outer frame is designed to be flush with the roof when properly installed.
Step 9: Lid Operation
