Safety Instructions
Your Reid eScooter is for sporting entertainment, not a vehicle. Driving in public areas carries risks. Strictly follow this manual and national/provincial regulations. Be aware of risks from unauthorized driving or improper operation, even when complying with the guide. Reid is not liable for accidents or disputes arising from violating instructions.
Higher speeds require longer braking distances, especially on smooth surfaces. Using the left-hand brake can cause wheel slip or loss of balance. Maintain a proper speed, safe distance, and drive at low speeds before unfamiliar terrain.
Do not lend the eScooter to inexperienced riders. If you do, teach them how to ride safely and ensure they wear proper gear. Be responsible for their safety.
Check your eScooter before each ride. If parts are loose, battery is low, or there's abnormal sound/malfunction, stop immediately and do not force it.
How To Ride
Note: Riding carries risks of falling and injury. Wear a helmet and protective gear.
- Power On: Turn on the power and check the power indicator.
- Starting Position: Stand with one foot on the deck, push off with the other foot.
- Acceleration: Once moving above 5km/h, place both feet on the deck and push the throttle to engage the electric motor.
- Deceleration: Releasing the throttle slows you down gradually with an automatic energy recovery system. For hard braking, pull the left lever.
- Turning: Lean your body slightly in the direction of the turn and turn the handlebar slowly.
- Cruise Control: Maintain a constant speed for approximately 8 seconds to activate cruise control. Releasing the throttle will maintain this speed. To cancel, push the throttle or apply the brakes.
Riding Safely
- Please avoid riding in the rain.
- Do not ride quickly over uneven surfaces. Maintain a speed between 5km/h and 10km/h and bend your knees slightly for safety.
- Do not press the throttle whilst walking with the eScooter.
- Avoid obstacles when driving.
- Do not ride through doorways.
- Do not accelerate downhill.
- Do not hang any heavy items on the handlebar.
- Keep both feet on the deck whilst driving.
Warning Reminder
Do not attempt dangerous movements.
- Forbidden to drive on the road or in crowded residential areas.
- Forbidden to rotate the handle strongly while driving at high speed.
- Forbidden to drive through water deeper than 2cm.
- Forbidden to drive with more than one person and/or holding a child.
- Forbidden to step or tread on the back mudguard.

Folding and Transportation
Folding:
Put the safety-lock (red part) up while holding the steer tube. Open the folding spanner (blue part) and hook it to the bell and fender hook. Buckle the belt with the back fender.
Transporting:
After folding, use one or two hands to hold the folding lever for transit.
Maintain Me
Daily Maintenance
Electric Scooter Cleaning and Storage:
For marks on the body, use a soft cloth with water. For stubborn dirt, use a toothbrush and then a damp cloth. For plastic scratches, use sandpaper or abrasive materials.
Important:
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive/volatile solvents for cleaning, as they can damage the body and internal structure. Do not use pressure spray or flush. Ensure the charging cable is unplugged and the rubber cap is tightened during cleaning to prevent electric shock or water accidents.
- Store the eScooter in a dry, cool room to prevent accelerated ageing and preserve battery life.
- If the scooter is fully charged and not in use, recharge it every 3 months to prevent battery over-discharge.
Disc Brakes Debug:
If brakes feel tight: Loosen the screw on the rotary knob with an M5 hex wrench. Turn the knob slightly to the right and tighten the screw. If brakes feel loose: Loosen the screw on the rotary knob with an M5 hex wrench. Turn the knob slightly to the left, then tighten the screw.
Alternatively, take your eScooter to the nearest service centre for adjustment.
Electric Scooter Battery Maintenance
- Use only Reid batteries; other brands may pose security risks.
- Do not touch battery contacts or open the battery compartment, as this can cause short circuits, damage, or personal injury.
- Use only the original charger; others may cause damage or fire.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to prevent environmental pollution.
- Avoid high temperatures (above 50°C) or low temperatures (below -20°C) for the battery. Optimal temperature for mileage and performance is between 20°C and 25°C. Riding below 0°C significantly reduces battery life and performance.
Non-professionals must not remove the battery pack, as this can lead to serious electrical faults or short circuits.
