Thank you for purchasing the August EP650 Bluetooth Audio Headset. This user manual will help you familiarize yourself with all the features of the device. Please take a few minutes to read this user manual carefully, even if you are familiar with a similar product.
1. Safety Instructions
Usage and Conservation
- Keep the device away from extreme temperatures. ?️

- Keep the device away from water and humidity. ?
- Avoid dropping the device and impacts. ?
- When transporting the device in luggage, ensure it is properly stored to avoid damage from sharp objects. ?
Maintenance
Ensure all cables are disconnected before cleaning the device.
- Wipe the screen and buttons only with a soft cloth. ?
- Never clean the device with abrasive cloth, powder detergent, alcohol-based solutions, benzene, flammable products, or chemical cleaners. ?

5. Operations
5.1 Powering On / Off
To power on: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until a sound prompt is heard. The indicator LED will flash red when the device is on.
To power off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds or until a sound prompt is heard. The indicator LED will turn off slowly.
5.2 Bluetooth Connection
Pairing: Power on the device and press and hold the “+” and “–” buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator LED will flash red. If a password is required, use “0000”.
Connecting to a Mobile Phone:
- Initiate a Bluetooth device search on your phone (refer to your phone's user manual for details).
- Select “EP650” from the list of nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Once connected, the blue LED will flash slowly, indicating a successful connection.
Multipoint Connection:
The Multipoint technology allows connecting two Bluetooth source devices to the EP650 headset simultaneously. To establish a Multipoint connection:
- Press and hold “+” and “–” to put the EP650 in pairing mode.
- Press ▶️ to activate multipoint.
- Connect the headset to the first device.
- Turn off the headset.
- Press and hold ▶️ until the headset enters pairing mode again.
- Connect the headset to the second device.
- Use the Bluetooth list of the first device to reconnect it to the headset.
To switch music sources, pause the current music and start playing music from the second device. The source switch may take up to 10 seconds.
Note: When an incoming call is received on one of the connected devices, the music will pause automatically and resume once the call is finished.
Connecting to a Bluetooth Computer:
- Turn on your computer's Bluetooth.
- Go to Control Panel > “Printers and other devices” and click “Add a device” to start the search.
- Double-click the “EP650” icon to connect. The EP650 driver will be installed automatically.
- Once connected, the blue LED will flash slowly, indicating a successful connection.
- To send and play audio from your computer to the EP650, select “Audio Devices” in the Control Panel, choose the EP650, and set it as the default device. All audio will then be transferred to the EP650.
Note: For Windows XP and Vista, a third-party Bluetooth driver may be required (not included).
NFC Connection:
- Turn on Bluetooth and NFC on your device.
- Turn on the EP650 and put it in pairing mode.
- Tap your device's NFC antenna against the EP650's NFC antenna (on the left side).
- Confirm the connection request on your device. “EP650” will be added to your Bluetooth device list.
- To disconnect, tap your device's NFC antenna against the EP650's NFC antenna again. Tap again to reconnect.
5.3 Music Playback Control
The EP650 can control music playback on a phone or computer via Bluetooth connection.
- Press ▶️ to pause or resume music playback.
- Press < or > to select the previous or next track.
- Press “+” or “–” to increase or decrease the volume.
Note: Music control is only compatible with devices supporting the A2DP format. Please refer to your phone's user manual for more information.
5.4 Hands-Free Kit Function
When connected to your mobile phone, the EP650 acts as a hands-free kit for all calls. Press ▶️ to answer an incoming call or hang up. Press and hold ▶️ to reject a call.
During a call, you can transfer it from the headset to the phone. Press the power button twice quickly to use the phone instead of the headset, and vice versa.
5.5 Auxiliary Mode
To use the headset as wired headphones, connect the device to an audio source using the 3.5mm audio cable. Once connected, the EP650 will automatically switch to Auxiliary mode.
5.6 Using the USB Cable
When the EP650 is connected to a computer via USB cable, it will be recognized as an audio output device. The system will automatically install the drivers. To set the EP650 as the default output, go to “Sound” in your control panel, then “Headset,” and select the EP650. When connected to a computer, the EP650 will also charge.
6. Recharging the Headset
When the battery is low, the indicator LED will flash red. To recharge the EP650, connect the micro USB cable to the headset and then to a powered USB port.
The indicator LED will be red during charging and turn blue when the battery is fully charged.
Notes:
- When charging, ensure you use a USB charger with a 5V voltage. Do not use a charger with a voltage higher than 5V, as this may damage the headset.
- Recharge the EP650 fully before first use or if it has not been used for a long period.
- If using a “SMART” charger, ensure you use standard USB ports with a 5V output voltage.

8. Troubleshooting

9. Warranty
This product is guaranteed for twelve (12) months from the date of initial purchase. In the unlikely event of a defect due to materials or manufacturing, the device will be replaced or repaired free of charge (if possible) during this period. An equivalent product will be offered if the product is no longer available or repairable.
This warranty is subject to the following conditions:
- The warranty is only valid in the country where the product was purchased.
- The product must be installed and used correctly according to the instructions in this user manual.
- The product should only be used for domestic purposes.
- The warranty covers only the main unit and not the accessories.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or natural disasters.
- The warranty will be void if the product is resold or has been damaged by inexperienced repairs. The manufacturer disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages.
- Please contact customer service before returning any product; we are not responsible for unexpected returns.
- All defective products must be kept and returned in their original packaging with all accessories and the original purchase receipt.
