User Guide
1. Download and Install
Download the "Wansview Cloud" app from the App Store [?] or Google Play [▶️] onto your smartphone. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code to download the app.
2. Register Account
Open the "Wansview Cloud" app and register an account using your email address. Activate your account. Password requirements: 8-16 characters, including at least three of the following categories: numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or special characters.
3. Add Camera Y1
There are two methods to add the camera:
Method A: Via QR Code Connection
- Tap "Add Device" or the [+] icon.
- Select Model Y1 from the list of device types.
- Choose the "WLAN connection via QR Code" option.
- Power on the camera. Ensure the LED indicator is flashing red and blue alternately.
- Configure Wi-Fi: Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Note: Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi ? is supported; 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- Scan the QR Code: Place the QR code from your phone screen 8 to 20 cm in front of the camera lens. When you hear a beep or see the light flashing quickly, tap "Next".
- Wait for Connection: The pairing process takes approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Pairing Successful: Name your camera (e.g., "Front Door", "Backyard", "Living Room", etc.) and tap "OK".
Method B: Via Soft-AP Connection
- Tap "Add Device" or the [+] icon.
- Select Model Y1.
- Choose the "WLAN connection via Soft-AP" option.
- Scan the QR code on the camera's back sticker.
- Connect to the Camera's Hotspot: Your phone will first connect to the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., WVCXXXX). Follow on-screen prompts.
- Select your Home Wi-Fi: Choose your home Wi-Fi network (ensure it is 2.4GHz).
- Enter Wi-Fi Password: Input your home Wi-Fi password.
- Wait for Connection: The device will connect to the network.
- Pairing Successful: Name your camera and tap "OK".
Tips ?:
- This outdoor security camera only functions with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi ?. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- During setup, place the camera near the router. After a successful connection, you can reposition the camera elsewhere. It is recommended to keep the camera near the router (within 3 feet or 1 meter) during the initial setup.
FAQ
A: Press and hold the camera's reset button ⚙️ for 5 seconds until the red light flashes rapidly and the camera indicates "reset is successful". Wait approximately one minute. The camera will then flash blue and red lights alternately, and you can reconnect it.
1. The invited member must first download the Wansview Cloud app and register a new account.
2. The main account holder should open the Wansview Cloud app, navigate to "Settings" > "Invite Family Members", select the country, and then enter the invited member's account details (email, phone number, or third-party login account).
3. The invited member must open the Wansview Cloud app and click "Receive". If the invitation is not received, close and reopen the app.
