- Do not exceed the maximum power rating of the generators. Ensure the total electrical rating of connected tools/appliances does not exceed the generator's capacity. Check that startup surge is within the generator's limit.
- Avoid substantial overloading, which trips the circuit breaker. Slight overloading may not trip the breaker but can lead to premature generator failure.
- Do not attempt to connect or disconnect load connections while standing in water or on wet/soggy ground.
- Do not touch electrically energized parts of generators, interconnecting cables, or conductors with any part of the body or any non-insulated conductive object.
- Insulate all connections and disconnected wires.
- Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces like pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators.
- Only connect two identical Inverter Generators together using the Parallel Kit.
- Connect the Parallel Kit only to terminals marked "Parallel Outlets" on the generator's front panel.
- Do not remove or connect the Parallel Kit while generators are running.
- Do not attach a Parallel Kit to only one generator.
- Do not attach any load to any other outlet on a generator that has a Parallel Kit attached.
- Wear safety goggles during use.
- People with pacemakers should consult their physician before use. Electromagnetic fields near a pacemaker could cause interference or failure. Caution is necessary near the engine's magneto or recoil starter.
- Accessories suitable for one piece of equipment may be hazardous when used on another.
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense. Do not use while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose items can be caught in moving parts.
