COMMAX CONVERTER UNIT CCU-204AGF
1. Feature
- This unit is a 4-channel distributor for the layer 1 POWER, available for a maximum of three units (within 30 meters).
- This unit can be used by connecting with the 2-wire loop type Interphone (e.g., AP-2SAG) manufactured by COMMAX.
- This unit can also be used by connecting with a Phone with keypad.
- Remote updating is possible by guard phone.
- Please make sure to check the wire sequence.
- Avoid duplication of other devices' ID.
- This unit requires a Power of DC24V/3A (Recommended RF-24AS by COMMAX).

Power & Installation Warnings:
- Do not use several products at the same time on one power socket.

Cleaning & Use Warnings:

3-1. Diagram & Table Name

3-2. FUNCTION
- Common line output terminal: Distributor Common line output terminal.
- Common line input terminal: Lobby Common line & Distributor common line input terminal.
- Household input & output terminal: Household call line input terminal.
- Program terminal: Terminal for program download.
- RS-232 Connection terminal: Used to change settings via a PC.
- Power switch: ON/OFF switch for power.
- Power input terminal: RF-24AS Adaptor connection terminal.
- Status LED: LED indicates the status.
- Power LED: On when power is on.
- Lobby call LED: On when calling between HOUSEHOLD & LOBBY.
- Guard call LED: On when calling between Household & Guard or Household.
- Data LED: On when transferring data between devices.
- Error check LED: On when there is an error.
- ID SWITCH: DIP SWITCH used to set the ID.
4. Manual to use
4-1. Door open function of the Lobby (Control function of household interphone)
To open the door with the interphone while talking to the Lobby phone:
4-1-1: Method using the Hook switch
- Press and release the hook switch for 1 second.
- The door opens.
- Press the handset down to end the call. (Caution: Guard room is called if you do not hang up within a period.)
4-1-2: Method using the door open button
- Press the door open button while talking to the lobby.
- The door opens.
- Press the handset down to end the call.
4-2. When changed by the guard phone:
Refer to the user manual of the linkage guard phone.
4-3 The Method to set the device ID
Set the device ID using BCD code via the DIP switch. The DIP switch is divided into two parts: Lower 4 bits (1-4) and Upper 4 bits (5-8).
A visual representation of the DIP switch settings for numbers 0-9 is provided, showing how to set the lower bits (unit's place) and upper bits (ten's place) to achieve IDs up to 99.
5. System Diagram
A system diagram illustrates the connections between Household units, Floor Distributor, Guard Station, Lobby Phone, and Adapter. It shows power connections (12V, 24V) and data flow.
6. Wiring
Wiring instructions are provided for connecting Household Units (ROOM1-ROOM4) to the main unit via IN and OUT ports. Connections for the Lobby Phone or Floor Distributor are also detailed:
- Lobby Phone: Connection 1-6 Pin
- Floor Distr.: Connection 1-8 Pin
The diagram shows connections to DIP SW, PROGRAM, RS-232, and POWER SW (ON/OFF) with an RF-24AS connection.
7. Precautions.
- If the product is damaged or an error occurs, contact customer support at the head office.
- Do not place flower vases or bottles on the product.
- A proper cutoff (device can cut all) must be used for indoor wiring. In case of fire or equipment malfunction, press the building's breaker as soon as possible.
- Turn off the power before installing or repairing the product.
8. Others
- Before reporting faulty equipment, read the manual thoroughly.
- Check all statuses before making a customer service call.
