Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before using this appliance.

- Do not use outdoors.
- To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.
- Always use on a dry, level, stable surface.
- Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all parts properly in place.
- This product is intended for household use only, not for commercial or industrial applications.

- For models with overload protection (fuse): A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product. Replace the fuse as per user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or contact customer service.
Polarized Plug Warning: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.
Operations, Cleaning, and Maintenance
User Servicing Instructions
Follow these instructions to safely and correctly care for this fan.
Replaceable Fuse
If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, visit www.getholmesfans.com for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
Replacing the Fuse
- Unplug the fan. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. NOTE: Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
- Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover towards the prongs. NOTE: Ensure the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.
- Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it from the compartment at the metal ends of the fuse.
- Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment. CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
- Slide fuse cover closed completely. NOTE: If fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is completely secured in place by pressing on metal ends of the fuse. CAUTION: Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
Fan Cleaning
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan housing.
- Use only a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
- Do not use harsh chemicals such as gasoline, thinner, or benzene as a cleaner.
Fan Blade Cleaning
- Remove the front grill by opening the clips located around the perimeter.
- Clean the fan blade, front and rear grills with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
- Securely fasten the front grill to the rear grill by closing the clips over the perimeter.
Fan Head, Base and Pole Cleaning
Using a soft, moist cloth (with or without a mild soap solution), carefully clean the fan base, pole, and head. Use CAUTION around the housing area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.
Fan Storage
This fan can be stored either partially disassembled or assembled.
- Store the fan in a clean, dry location between seasons or when not in use for an extended period of time.
- Keep the fan protected from dirt and dust during storage.
NOTE: This fan can also be used during the cold winter season to circulate warm air throughout your home.

Parts and Assembly
Assembly Instructions (Refer to Figure 1)
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE THIS FAN.
Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver (not included)
Estimated assembly time: 5-10 minutes
- Remove L-shaped Locking Screw (T) and Washer (S) from the Outer Pole (P). Place Outer Pole (P) over the base. Insert the threaded end of the L-shaped locking screw (T) into the hole of the Washer (S) and through the base. Turn the L-shaped locking screw (T) clockwise to securely attach the pole to the base.
- Loosen Fan Post Screw (M) and slide Motor Housing (K) over top of Extension Pole (N). Tighten Fan Post Screw (M).
- Line up the 2 holes of the Rear Grill (H) with the posts on the Motor Housing (K) assembly. When properly aligned, the handle (I) of the rear grill should be in the 12 o'clock position.
- Secure Rear Grill (H) to Motor Housing (K) with Rear Grill Mounting Nut (G). Turn clockwise to tighten.
- Slide Blade (F) over Motor Shaft (J).
- Secure fan blade to motor shaft with the Blade Cap (E). Turn counter-clockwise to tighten.
- Open the expandable Grill Clips (D) located around the perimeter of the Front Grill (B).
- Remove the nut from the Grill Locking Screw (C) and align the hole located at the bottom of the Rear Grill (H) with the hole at the bottom of the Front Grill (B).
- Close all the Grill Clips (D) around the perimeter of the grill.
- Insert the screw into the hole at the bottom of the grill. Secure in place by tightening the nut over the back of the screw. (Use Phillips head screwdriver).

Features - Operations
Tilt Adjustment
Gently move the fan head up or down manually to the desired angle.
Height Adjustment
- Turn the Height Adjustment Collar (O) counterclockwise to loosen pole.
- Adjust the Extension Pole (N) to the desired height, and firmly tighten the height adjustment collar in a clockwise direction.
Operating Instructions
- Set fan base on a dry, level, stable surface.
- Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet.
- To turn the fan on, press the POWER button located on the control panel or remote control. The fan will start running in the lowest setting "L" (LOW).
- Press the speed button to cycle through the 3 speed settings in sequence. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate to confirm the selection: L-Low, M-Medium, H-High.
- To turn the oscillation on and off, press the oscillation button located on the control panel or remote control.
- To set your fan to automatically shut off, press the timer button located on the control panel or the remote control. When set, the fan will run and automatically shut off after the set duration of time (0.5-7.5 hours) has expired.
- To activate BREEZE mode, press the MODE button. The fan will cycle through alternating speeds with brief pauses to simulate a natural outdoor breeze. To activate SLEEP mode, press the MODE button again. This function slows the BREEZE setting by one level every ten minutes until it reaches LOW.
- To silence setting confirmation beeps, press the MUTE button located on the remote control. To reactivate setting confirmation beeps, press the MUTE button again.
- To turn the fan off, press the power button located on the control panel or remote control.
Remote Control (Refer to Figure 2)
NOTE: PLEASE REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE PLASTIC FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY BEFORE OPERATION.
This unit includes one lithium battery, CR2025/3V. Remove battery before discarding the remote.
Battery Replacement
The cells should be disposed of properly, including keeping them away from children. Even used cells may cause injury.
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom back of the remote control handset. Push tab and pull battery tray.
- Remove old battery.
- Place new battery into battery compartment.
- Slide battery compartment into the remote control handset.
NOTES:
- Remove the battery from the equipment when it is not being used for an extended period of time.
- Remove the used battery promptly.
- Do not discard used batteries into household trash containers. Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your area.
Remote Control Buttons (Refer to Figure 2):
- A. Power / Speed Button: Turns the fan on/off and cycles through speed settings (Low, Medium, High).
- B. Speed Button (remote control): Cycles through speed settings (Low, Medium, High).
- C. Timer Button: Sets the auto-shutoff timer (0.5-7.5 hours).
- D. Oscillation Button: Turns oscillation on/off.
- E. Mode Button: Activates BREEZE or SLEEP modes.
- F. Mute Button (remote control): Silences or reactivates setting confirmation beeps.
Indicator Lights (Refer to Figure 2):
- G. Mode Indicator Lights: Indicate BREEZE or SLEEP mode.
- H. Timer Indicator Lights: Indicate the set timer duration.
- I. Speed Setting Indicator Lights: Indicate the current speed setting (Low, Medium, High).
