Wi-Fi Connection Troubleshooting
Possible problems during Wi-Fi connection:
- Camera indicator light is NOT flashing blue:
Reset the camera by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds. Stop pressing once you see both the red and blue lights flash briefly. The camera will then enter the correct mode (blue light flashing) within a few seconds.
- Connection fails (camera shows flashing red light, app shows no progress):
Possible reasons:
- Incorrect Wi-Fi name or password (even a missing space can cause failure).
- Your Wi-Fi network is 5GHz only. Ensure you are using a 2.4GHz network. If your router is dual-band, configure it to prioritize or use a 2.4GHz-only network.
- The router is too far from the camera.
- The router has no active internet connection.
- Camera is listed in the app, but displays a black screen:
Possible reasons:
- The UBox app lacks permission to use your phone's mobile data. If you are not connected to Wi-Fi, the app needs mobile data to receive images.
- Your phone's cache is full, preventing image loading. Restarting your phone should resolve this.
- Your router's cache is full, preventing it from sending images to the app. Restarting your router should resolve this.
- There might be a temporary server issue. Please try again in a few minutes.
If the problem persists, contact JavisCam technical support via the UBox app.
