Installation Guide of Industrial Door Operator

This product is commonly used for industrial sectional doors equipped with balance springs. Two installation methods are supported: shaft drive and chain drive. The factory standard configuration is for shaft drive. Chain drive requires appropriate sprocket chain accessories.

Installation Types:

Shaft Drive Installation: Depicts a diagram showing the operator mounted directly to the door shaft.

Chain Drive Installation: Depicts a diagram showing the operator connected via a chain mechanism to the door shaft.

Shaft Drive Installation Components:

Chain Drive Installation Components:

Step 1. Check the door

After the door is installed, adjust the torsion spring. Ensure manual opening and closing are flexible without stagnation. Observe the rotation direction of the rope sheave to confirm it is consistent with the door operator's opening and closing direction.

Diagram illustrating the door mechanism, rope sheave, and mounting points.

Step 2. Determine the installation position

Consider the door operator's dimensions and installation direction. Determine the mounting bracket position, mark the cavity, drill screw holes, and fix the bracket. The bracket can be installed inside or outside the operator; inside installation is recommended for easier disassembly.

Step 3. Trial installing the door operator

Install a fixing sleeve on the door shaft first, then insert the industrial door operator into the door shaft.

Diagram showing the operator being inserted into the door shaft with a fixing sleeve.

Step 4. Pre-fix the industrial door operator

Fix the industrial door operator onto the mounting bracket using 4 hexagon head flange bolts (M10×20). Do not tighten them fully at this stage.

Diagram showing the operator being attached to the mounting bracket with bolts.

Step 5. Find the direction of key slot

First, pull the red handle A downwards to engage the hand-pulled chain mechanism with the main engine (Manual control mode). Rotate the output shaft of the door operator by pulling the hand-pulled chain up and down until the key slot of the output shaft aligns with the key slot of the door shaft.

Diagram illustrating the red handle (A) and the alignment of key slots on the output shaft and door shaft.

Step 6. Mount the flat key and fixing sleeve

Mount the flat key. Keep two fixing sleeves close to the ends of the output shaft. Fasten the two M8 head screws in the key slot of the door shaft to prevent the flat key from loosening or falling off.

Diagram showing the flat key, fixing sleeves, and M8 screws being installed.

Step 7. Tighten the screws, prepare wiring and debugging

Tighten all screws. Finally, pull the green handle B downwards to disengage the hand-pulled chain mechanism from the main machine (Electric control mode).

Usage of Hand-Pulled Chain

When you need to manually open or close the industrial door, the hand-pulled chain is required.

Before pulling the chain, fully pull the red handle A in the hand-pulled chain mechanism to engage it with the main machine. The protection switch inside the mechanism will automatically cut off the power supply. The chain can then be pulled.

The chain should be pulled continuously and evenly to avoid damage.

When you need to electrically open or close the industrial door, fully pull the green handle B in the hand-pulled mechanism first to disengage it from the main machine. The protection switch will reset, allowing normal electric operation. Please fix the hand-pulled chain on the wall properly when not in use.

Diagram showing the hand-pulled chain mechanism with handles A (red) and B (green).

Diagram Description: Illustration of the hand-pulled chain mechanism, highlighting the red handle (A) for engaging manual mode and the green handle (B) for disengaging manual mode and returning to electric operation.

Notes on Hand-Pulled Chain Usage:

  1. After using the chain, if the digital display shows "E--11", you cannot open or close the door electrically. This is because the protection switch has not been reset. Fully pull the green handle (B) to disengage the mechanism from the main machine; the control unit will function properly until "E--11" is off.
  2. The hand-pulled chain should only be used in special circumstances, such as power failure, and not for long-term normal operation.

Note: Check monthly if the travel of opening or closing has changed, if limit positions are accurate and reliable, and if the door is well-balanced. Make adjustments if necessary. If required, consult professional personnel for maintenance and debugging.
