The app displays a "Welcome to Deco" screen with fields for TP-Link ID (Email) and Password, and a "Log In" button.

Select your Deco model in any of the following ways. If you have more than one Deco model, tap the question mark below the search box to check how to maximize the overall network.

The app shows a "Select Your Deco" screen with a search bar. Below the search bar is a list of Deco models, including "BE Series" with various models like BE23, BE25, BE63/BE65/BE65 Pro, BE75/BE85, BE95, BE5000, BE11000. Users can tap to select their model or scan the Deco's product label.

  4. Scan your Deco's product label

The app shows a screen prompting to "Scan your Deco's product label" with an option to "Open Camera and Scan" or "Set Up Deco Manually".

  5. Plug in your Deco

Power off your modem. Connect your Deco to the modem and power them both on. If you don't have a modem, connect your Deco directly to the Ethernet outlet.

The app displays a "Plug in your devices" screen showing how to connect the modem's LAN port to Deco's Ethernet port and then power them on.

  6. Wait until Deco's LED pulses blue

Wait until your Deco's LED pulses blue, then your phone/tablet will connect to the Deco's default Wi-Fi automatically.

The app shows a "Wait until Deco's LED pulses blue" screen, indicating that Solid Yellow means "Deco is starting up, please wait" and Pulsing Blue means "Deco is ready for setup." It also includes a link "Why is my LED not pulsing blue?".

  7. Specify your Deco's location

Select or custom a location for your Deco. The location will be used as the name of your Deco.

The app displays a list of common locations like "Living Room", "Bedroom", "Office", "Kitchen", "Hallway", "Study Room", "Basement", "Garage", "Family Room", and a "Custom" option.

  8. Connect your Deco to the internet

  9. Create your Wi-Fi network

Set a network name and a password. These will be the name and password you use to connect your devices to Wi-Fi. Your password must be at least 8 characters.

The app displays fields for "Network Name (SSID)" and "Password", with a recommendation for a password using a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

  10. Keep your Deco up-to-date

Set auto update time. This allows your Deco to automatically update to the latest firmware, which provides a better network experience.

The app shows a "Keep your Deco up-to-date" screen with a "Update Schedule" option, defaulting to "3:00 AM - 5:00 AM". It explains that if the Deco detects anyone using the internet at the time, the update will be rescheduled.
