Installation and Usage Guide
Product Overview
This manual provides instructions for installing and using the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Core series of CPU liquid coolers. The series includes models such as the MasterLiquid 120L Core, 240L Core, 240L Core ARGB, 360L Core ARGB, 240L Core White, and 360L Core White.

Installation - Fan to Radiator
Attach the fans (A) to the radiator using the provided fan screws (J and K). For the 120L model, use 4 screws. For the 240L model, use 8 screws. For the 360L model, use 12 screws. Ensure fans are oriented correctly for airflow.
Installation - Intel Processors
For Intel LGA 1700 Socket:
- Attach the LGA 1700 Mounting Bracket (B) to the motherboard using four Standoff Screws (H).
- Place the CPU block onto the CPU.
- Attach the Intel Mounting Bracket Arms (E) to the CPU block.
- Secure the CPU block by screwing the Mounting Nuts (I) onto the Standoff Screws (H) through the bracket arms. Tighten evenly.
For Intel LGA 1200/115X Sockets:
- Attach the LGA 1200/115X Mounting Bracket (C) to the motherboard using four Standoff Screws (H).
- Place the CPU block onto the CPU.
- Attach the Intel Mounting Bracket Arms (E) to the CPU block.
- Secure the CPU block by screwing the Mounting Nuts (I) onto the Standoff Screws (H) through the bracket arms. Tighten evenly.
After mounting the CPU block, install the radiator and fan assembly into the PC case, typically in a front, top, or rear fan mount location.
Installation - AMD Processors
For AMD Sockets (AM5/AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/FM2+/FM2/FM1):
- Remove the stock AMD mounting brackets from the motherboard if necessary.
- Attach the AMD Mounting Brackets (F) to the CPU block.
- Place the CPU block onto the CPU.
- Align the mounting brackets with the motherboard's CPU socket mounting holes.
- Secure the CPU block by screwing the Thumb Screws (G) into the motherboard's mounting posts or the stock AMD retention clips. Tighten evenly.
After mounting the CPU block, install the radiator and fan assembly into the PC case.
Wiring and Connectivity
Connect the fan cables and ARGB cables (if applicable) to the appropriate headers on your motherboard or to the provided ARGB/Fan Hub (P).
- PWM Fan Connection: Connect the fan's 4-pin PWM cable to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard or to a fan controller. Use splitter cables (L, M) if connecting multiple fans to a single header. The diagram indicates "PWM FG +" for fan speed signal and power.
- ARGB Connection: For models with ARGB lighting, connect the ARGB cables to the motherboard's 3-pin ARGB header or to the ARGB/Fan Hub (P). Use splitter cables (N, O) as needed. Ensure correct orientation of the 3-pin connectors.
The ARGB/Fan Hub (P) can consolidate fan power and ARGB connections for cleaner cable management.
Initial Startup Note
As a result of bubbles in the coolant, you might hear sounds coming from your cooler on the first run. Just chill out for 15 minutes and the sounds will disappear.
