, Password: (leave empty). It is highly recommended to set a password for privacy. Navigate to System Setup > System Admin > User Management to set a password.
HD Install (Hard Disk Installation)
The NVR supports most 3.5" or 2.5" SATA HDDs. The system may not include a hard disk depending on the kit purchased. New HDDs must be formatted before recording.
- Unplug the NVR from power. Unscrew and remove the top cover.
- Hold the hard drive and NVR. Gently turn them over and align the holes on the hard drive with the mounting points on the NVR.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, secure the HDD with the provided screws.
- Connect the SATA power and data cables from the NVR to the corresponding ports on the HDD.
- Reassemble the cover and plug the NVR back into power.
Note: After HDD installation, the NVR will prompt to format the disk before recording can begin.
Network Setup
The Wireless NVR supports both wired and wireless internet access (wireless support varies by model).
Wired Internet Access:
Connect the NVR to your router using a network cable. Network settings will be obtained automatically. Wired connection takes priority when the cable is plugged in.
Wireless Internet Access:
If your model supports wireless access:
- Right-click the mouse on the main menu, go to System Settings > Network Settings.
- If the "Wireless Internet Access" option is available in the lower left corner, your model supports it.
- Select "Wireless Internet Access" and configure the connection:
- Choose the desired WiFi network name (SSID).
- Enter the WiFi password.
- Click "Apply" to enable the function.
- A successful WiFi connection allows remote monitoring via the mobile app using the cloud ID.
For better wireless signal, place the NVR in an open, elevated area.
Record Setup
The factory setting defaults to full-day recording. You can customize recording types:
- Time Recording: Records continuously during specified periods. Access via Right-click > System Setup > Record Setup > Record Plan. Select "Time" and drag to define the time slots (indicated in red).
- Motion Recording: Records only when motion is detected. Access via Right-click > System Setup > Record Setup > Record Plan. Select "Motion" and drag to define time slots (indicated in green).
- Alarm Recording: Records when an alarm event is triggered. Access via Right-click > System Setup > Record Setup > Record Plan. Select "Alarm" and drag to define time slots (indicated in yellow).
You can configure 24/7 recording (0:00:00-23:59:59) for all days. The default setting is 24 hours/7 days when an HDD is detected.
Interface Description: The Record Plan interface shows channels and a timeline grid. Users can select recording types (Time, Motion, Alarm) and drag to cover specific time periods for each channel. A "Copy To" function allows applying settings to multiple channels.
Video Playback
View recorded footage:
- Right-click the mouse in the main menu and select "Video Playback".
- Choose the date, channel, and record mode. Click "Search" to find playback files.
Playback Controls:
- Play/Pause: ▶️ / ⏸️
- Fast Forward: ⏩ x2, x4, x8
- Play File: Select a recording from the file list and click "Play".
- Timeline: Click the date and time at the bottom left to view the recording timeline. Left-click on the timeline to play the file at that point.
Video Backup
Copy video recordings to a USB flash drive.
- Plug a USB flash drive into the NVR's USB port.
- Right-click on the main menu, select "Video Backup".
- Choose the backup channel, record mode, and search time range.
- Click "Search" to find recording files.
- Select the desired recording files from the list and click "Video Backup" to copy them.

View On Mobile
Monitor your system remotely using the mobile app.
APP Download and Installation:
Search for "EseeCloud" on the App Store or "IP PRO" on Google Play. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code to download the app.
For iOS, requires iOS 8.0 or above. For Android, requires Android 4.4 or above.
Add the NVR System to Your APP Device List:
- Run the "EseeCloud" app and log in to your account.
- Click the "+" icon to scan the device ID QR code (found in NVR network settings or on the screen).
- Enter a device description (e.g., "My Device"), the default user name (
admin), and the password (default is empty).
Submit the form to add the device.
Click on the device to start previewing video.
If you have set a password on your NVR system, update it in the app to view live feeds.
Playback On Mobiles:
While viewing live video in the EseeCloud app, tap "Playback" to enter the remote playback menu. The app defaults to camera 1, but you can switch channels. Videos are shown in HD real-time, requiring good transmission conditions. Playback is recommended on a LAN for best results; remote playback may be affected by network conditions.
Add Wireless IP Camera
NVR kits are pre-matched before shipping. If you need to add cameras later, follow these steps:
Ensure NVR and cameras are powered on.
On the NVR, right-click the mouse, navigate to "Wireless Add" to enter the match-code interface. The NVR will automatically search for cameras in matching code mode.
Camera Matching Methods:
- Camera with RJ45 Connector: Connect the camera to the NVR using a network cable. Matching code occurs automatically.
- Camera without RJ45 Connector: Hold the bottom line of the camera for 5 seconds to enter matching code mode. It will match code automatically without a network cable.
Matching is complete when the camera's IP address appears on the screen. Click "Exit" to finish.
For cameras without RJ45 connectors, the matching code mode lasts for 10 minutes. If not matched within this time, restart the camera to re-enter matching mode.
Extend Wireless Range
Wireless signals can be affected by obstacles. Use these methods to improve signal strength and range:
Position the Antenna Correctly:
Antenna signal coverage is omnidirectional, resembling an apple shape. The strongest signal is around the antenna's sides. The signal is weaker at the top and bottom ends of the antenna.
Recommendations:
Place NVR and IPC antennas in high, open locations, away from walls, metal, or glass obstructions.
Align IPC antennas parallel to NVR antennas to maximize signal directionality and coverage.
Use Antenna Extension Cord:
Connect an antenna extension cord to the camera or NVR. Drill a hole in a wall to pass the cord through, allowing the antenna to be placed in an area with a stronger wireless signal.
Set Up Cascading Connection (Repeater Function):
This allows cameras to relay signals to extend the network range. Note that the repeater function does not strengthen the signal itself but extends the distance by repeating signals from wireless cameras.
Repeater Setup:
On the NVR GUI, right-click, select "Video Management", then "Repeater".
Add a repeater: Click the ➕ icon next to a channel (e.g., CH3) and select another channel to act as the repeater.
The system will show connections (e.g., IPC1 connected via IPC2, IPC2 via IPC3, IPC3 directly to NVR).
Click "Apply", then "Refresh" to confirm the setting.
Correct positioning of repeater and repeated cameras is crucial for extending wireless distance.
Note: The repeater function and antenna extension cords are two methods to extend wireless range; choose based on your situation.
