  • You need an activated Nano-SIM card.
  • Login information is on the sticker on the underside of the device.

Description of SIM card image: Three types of SIM cards are shown: (U)SIM, micro-SIM, and nano-SIM.

Description of device sticker image: A label on the bottom of the device shows fields like S/N, ZTE, Model MC888, WIFI SSID, KEY, Device Manager Website, and Password.

2. Insert the Nano-SIM Card

Open the cover on the underside of the device and insert the Nano-SIM card.

4. Establish Internet Access

  • WLAN: Retrieve the default SSID and default password from the sticker on the underside of the device. This allows you to connect your mobile device to the WLAN network and access the internet.

Description of WLAN connection diagram: Shows a smartphone connecting to a Wi-Fi network labeled "Wi-Fi" with a password field.

  • Network Cable (RJ45): Using the LAN ports on the back of the device, you can establish a wired connection with your computer or other devices to access the internet.

Description of Ethernet connection diagram: Shows a computer connected via an Ethernet cable to the router's LAN port.

5. WLAN Information

  • This router supports dual-band WLAN with 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
  • While 2.4GHz WLAN offers longer range, 5GHz WLAN provides higher bandwidth.
  • To use the router's 5GHz WLAN, your device must also support 5GHz WLAN.
  • After a router restart, it takes 10 minutes for the 5GHz WLAN to become visible. The router must scan for existing frequencies (DFS) according to regulations and can only then release the higher 5GHz channels (from channel 52). You can shorten this time by manually assigning a 5GHz channel up to 48 (on the configuration page).
  • To use the higher 5GHz channels (from channel 52), your device must also support DFS.

6. Change Device Settings

You can change the device settings by logging into the configuration website.

  1. The default IP address of the configuration website and the password can be found on the sticker on the underside of the device.
  2. Start the internet browser on a connected device and enter the IP address in the address bar.
  3. Enter the password and click "Login".
  4. After the configuration website opens, you can change the WLAN SSID, password, and other settings, among other things.

NOTES!

Please keep the sticker with the access data for future use. It is needed to put the device back into operation after a reset.

If you forget a changed password, you must reset your device to factory settings. To do this, find a small opening labeled RESET on the underside of the router, next to the SIM card slot. Use a pointed object to press it and hold the button for a few seconds.

If you need help on the configuration website, click the "?" symbol [Help Symbol]. Here you will find useful hints for each function.

Your device supports Cable Broadband Mode. You can use this service from your provider to access the internet.

  1. Connect the LAN 1 port and the broadband service network port with a network cable.
  2. Log in to the configuration website.
  3. Change the operating mode to Cable Broadband Mode. To do this, you must first disconnect from the internet.
  4. Set the detail parameters provided by your service provider.

  1. Connect the LAN 1 port and the broadband service network port with a network cable while a SIM card is inserted in the device.
  2. Log in to the configuration website.
  3. Change the operating mode to Automatic or Hybrid Mode. To do this, you must first disconnect from the internet. The device will then restart automatically.
    • a) Automatic: The wired network is used as the default network. If there is no connection via the wired network, you can access the internet using the Nano-SIM card.
    • b) Hybrid Mode: You can use two types of networks to access the internet simultaneously and thus increase network speed. If one of the two connections is disconnected, the other still functions properly.
