Marshall Woburn III Bluetooth Speaker
Device Layout
The top panel of the Woburn III speaker features several controls and inputs:
- 1. 3.5 MM INPUT: Connect an analogue audio device with a 3.5 mm stereo jack.
- 2. SOURCE SELECTION: Push the source button to toggle between Bluetooth®, AUX, RCA, and HDMI audio sources. A lit indicator shows the selected source. This can also be controlled via the Marshall Bluetooth app. Caution: Ensure the volume is low on both the speaker and the audio device before use.
- 3. AUDIO CONTROLS: Adjust audio with three controls: Volume, Bass, and Treble.
- 4. MEDIA CONTROL: Control audio playback via Bluetooth: Push to play/pause, push right to skip forward, push left to skip back, hold left/right to rewind/fast forward. Playback can also be controlled via the Marshall Bluetooth app.
- 5. POWER SWITCH: Use this switch to turn the speaker on or off.
Rear Panel Features
- 6. RCA INPUT (LEFT AND RIGHT): Connect an RCA audio device, such as a turntable.
- 7. HDMI ARC INPUT: Connect an HDMI supported TV.
- 8. HEAT SINK: Dissipates heat from the internal power supply.
- 9. POWER INPUT: Connect the included mains lead to the wall socket.
Getting Started
- Connect the mains lead to the speaker's mains input and plug it into a wall socket.
- Use the power switch to turn the speaker on.
- Download the Marshall Bluetooth app and follow the in-app instructions to set up your speaker.
Important: Ensure the mains lead, plug, and speaker are compatible with your mains supply.
Caution: Unplug the mains lead from the wall socket before disconnecting it from the speaker.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Use the source button to select Bluetooth.
- Push and hold the source button until the Bluetooth LED pulses red.
- Select "WOBURN III" from your audio device's Bluetooth list.
Woburn III can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. If one device is playing, a second device cannot start playing until the first is paused.
Connecting an AUX Device
- Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack to the AUX input on the speaker's top panel.
- Connect the other end of the lead to the audio output of your audio source.
- Use the source button to select AUX.
Note: Audio leads are not included.
Connecting an RCA Device
- Connect a lead with RCA jacks to the RCA input on the speaker's back panel.
- Connect the other end of the lead to the output of your audio source.
- Use the source button to select RCA.
Note: The turntable must have an RIAA amplifier or be connected via a separate preamplifier. Audio lead and RIAA amplifier are not included.
Connecting a TV with HDMI
- Plug an HDMI lead into the HDMI port on Woburn III and the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
- Turn on the speaker and use the source button to select HDMI.
- Turn on your TV and select HDMI ARC audio output, choosing PCM (2-channel) as the format.
If Woburn III is powered on and connected to a TV, turning on the TV will automatically select HDMI as the source.
Note: HDMI leads are not included. Consult your TV's user manual for HDMI support information.
Network Standby Mode
Woburn III enters network standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Any connected Bluetooth device will be disconnected. To wake the speaker, interact with any control on the top panel, reconnect a Bluetooth device, or play audio via the physical inputs.
Performing a Factory Reset
A factory reset restores the speaker to its original settings, excluding firmware updates. This will delete all user settings, requiring a new setup.
- Push and hold the media control for more than 10 seconds; the speaker will reset.
- Remove "WOBURN III" from your audio device's Bluetooth list before attempting to pair again.

Download the Marshall Bluetooth app to maximize your speaker's capabilities and keep its software updated.
Troubleshooting

Items such as microwave ovens, wireless network adapters, fluorescent lights, and gas cookers use the same frequency range as the Bluetooth device, potentially causing electrical disturbances. | Move the speaker to another location or turn off/move the interfering electronic device. | |
The back of the speaker is hot to touch | When playing music at high volume for an extended period, heat generated by the internal power supply is dissipated via the heat sink on the back of the speaker. | The temperature of the heat sink is within safety limits; the speaker can be used without corrective actions. |
Erratic behaviour | The speaker is not using the latest firmware version. | Download the Marshall Bluetooth app, connect to the speaker, and follow in-app instructions to update the firmware. |
