TRAIL CAMERA SOLAR POWER PACK

Your new solar power pack will provide a constant power source for your trail cameras in the field. The power pack includes 6 rechargeable AA batteries that are constantly being recharged by the high efficiency solar panel.

Follow the easy steps below to set up your trail camera power pack:

STEP 1:

Open the battery door and slide the battery tray out. Insert the 6 AA rechargeable batteries that were packed with your power panel, noting the polarity markings on the battery tray.

Re insert the battery tray and fasten the door closed with the thumbscrew.

STEP 2:

Open the door that contains the control panel, and turn the power switch to the "ON" Position. ⚙️

To test the state of charge for the AA batteries, press and release the test button. The LED bar graph will show the state of charge. ✔️

To test the amount of power the solar panel is making, press and hold the test button. The LED bar graph will show the amount of current being generated by the solar cells. This test is helpful when setting the solar power pack up in the field.

There is also a USB charging port that can be used to do a quick charge of the solar power pack before field installation. The solar panel will completely charge itself in the field within a few hours in full sunlight.

STEP 3:

Connect the charging cable to your Browning trail camera via the external power port located on the bottom of your camera.

Mount the solar pack to a tree using the provided tree strap, or one of Browning's trail camera mount accessories near the camera, in a spot that will receive some sunlight during the day.

Make sure you also insert batteries in the trail camera. These will act as the backup power source for your camera if the solar panel is low on power due to multiple cloudy days, or snow accumulation on the solar panel. Depending on use, the AA rechargeable batteries may need to be replaced after a couple of years. Browning recommends the Energizer brand AA rechargeable batteries. These can be found at any hardware or grocery store in the battery section.
