Initial Setup
- Charge the internal battery: Plug the timer into any outlet for 30 minutes if the screen is blank.
- Reset the timer: Use a small non-metallic tool (like a pencil tip) to press the "RESET" button. The LCD display will turn on.
- Unplug and program timer: With a charged battery, you can now set the timer.
Set Current Day & Time
Follow these steps to set the current day and time:
- Press and hold the "CLOCK" button, then press the "WEEK" button until the desired day displays.
- Press and hold the "CLOCK" button, then press the "HOUR" button to set the hour. Pay attention to AM/PM.
- Press and hold the "CLOCK" button, then press the "MIN" button to set the minutes.
Set Program
You can set up to 8 different ON/OFF programs.
Example: Turn ON at 8:05 AM and OFF at 9:00 PM daily.
- Press the "PROG" button to enter program setting.
- Press the "WEEK" button to select the desired day(s) for the program (e.g., MO to SU for daily).
- Press the "HOUR" button to set the ON time (e.g., 8:00 AM).
- Press the "MIN" button to set the ON minutes (e.g., 8:05 AM).
- Press the "PROG" button again to set program "1 OFF".
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set the OFF time (e.g., 9:00 PM).
- To set additional programs (e.g., "2 ON", "2 OFF"), repeat steps 1-6.
- Press "R" to erase a program, press "R" again to restore it.
Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode for programs to run.
Switching Between Manual/Auto Modes & Overriding Programs
The timer must be in AUTO mode for programmed schedules to run. Check the display for "AUTO" or "MAN".
- Switching Modes: Press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 4 seconds or more to toggle between AUTO and MANUAL modes.
- Manual Override: Press the "MANUAL" button once to manually turn the timer ON or OFF, overriding the current program. The timer will revert to the programmed schedule on the next scheduled change.
Set Random for Vacation Security
This feature postpones programmed ON/OFF times by 2-32 minutes randomly to simulate occupancy.
- Set at least one ON/OFF program.
- Press the "WEEK" and "HOUR" buttons simultaneously to activate "RND" mode.
- Note: For the random function to work properly, a timer program should be 33 minutes or longer.
- Press "WEEK" and "HOUR" buttons again to turn off the random function.
DST - Daylight Saving Time Function
This function allows manual adjustment for Daylight Saving Time.
- Press "HOUR" & "MIN" simultaneously to activate or deactivate DST.
- A "+1h" symbol will appear on the LCD screen when DST is active.
- Activating DST advances the time by 1 hour. Deactivating it reverts the time.
- This timer does not automatically adjust for DST; manual activation is required.
Troubleshooting
Timer does not turn on or off:
- Ensure AM/PM are correct in current time and program settings.
- Verify the timer program is set to AUTO.
- Confirm both ON and OFF times are specified in the program.
- If the display is unclear or blank, charge the battery for 30 minutes and press RESET.
- The 4 timed outlets share the same program settings.
- Check if the Random function is active if the timer is not switching ON/OFF on time.
- Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode if it is always ON or always OFF.
