Genesis THOR 230 TKL LITE Quick Installation Guide

Welcome to your new Genesis THOR 230 TKL LITE keyboard. This guide provides essential steps for setup and customization.

Installation

Connect the keyboard to a free USB port on your computer. Allow approximately 15 seconds for driver installation.

For advanced features, download and install the dedicated software from www.genesis-zone.com.

Open the downloaded software folder and run setup.exe. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Upon successful installation, a software icon will appear in the system tray. Double-click it to access settings.

Key Features & Controls

Switch Replacement

To replace a switch: Remove the keycap by pulling it vertically upwards. Use the provided metal clamp to gently lift the switch from its socket. Insert the new switch vertically into the PCB holes and press down gently. Reattach the keycap.

Backlight Control

Brightness: Press Fn + Arrow Up / Arrow Down.
Effect Speed: Press Fn + Arrow Left / Arrow Right.
Mode Change: Press Fn + Ins to cycle through 20 backlight modes.
Game Modes: Press Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 to select from 3 preset game lighting modes.
Custom Mode:
- Select one of two custom profiles by pressing Fn + 9 or Fn + 0.
- Press Fn + Home to start recording a custom lighting profile. The LED indicator will flash.
- Press keys to assign colors (choose from 7 colors per key by cycling with the same key press).
- Press Fn + Home again to finish recording and save the profile. The LED indicator will stop flashing.
Arrow Function Swap: Press Fn + W to swap the arrow keys (↑, ↓, ←, →) with the W, A, S, D keys.
Factory Reset: To restore all settings to default, press and hold Fn + Esc for 5 seconds.
