Instruction Manual for Lithium or SLA Batteries The POWERTECH MP3743 MPPT Solar Charge Controller is a rectangular device with a prominent LCD screen and control buttons on the top surface. The front panel features various input/output terminals and an Ethernet socket. Cooling fins are integrated into the bottom casing. The LCD screen provides real-time information and status updates. It displays various icons and numerical readings related to solar input, battery status, load operation, and system settings. To access the settings menu, tap the Menu button when the display is off to turn it on. Press and hold the Menu button to enter the settings menu. Tap the Menu button again to cycle through each setting in the following order. Use the Enter button to confirm or save a setting. With the unit turned off, press and hold the Menu button, then power up the controller via the battery input. The screen will display "FFFF" to indicate that all settings have been factory reset. Fault Codes
Code Description E1 Battery has been installed with the polarity reversed. E2 Battery is not currently connected, or is under the low voltage cut off. E3 Battery over current protection enabled. If the issue persists, the controller may be faulty. E4 Load over current / short circuit protection. Turn off the machine for 10 seconds to reset. E5 Battery over voltage protection. E6 Solar input over voltage protection. E7 Over temperature protection. Charging will restart once the temperature is under 60°C. E8 Solar input has been installed with the polarity reversed.
